Hey! I'm sure they'll have you. You are a seasoned professional, correct? I think we're all trying to figure it out. Welcome.
From time to time I have sold covered calls and now I resist by thinking on this quote from Linda Bradford Raschke when asked, "What is your opinion of selling premium, either naked or spread?" "Okay, I got smacked once and it took me five years to pay it off. I think its a stupid game, so I don't sell premium. I like to get bang for my buck. I want to see where are the spots in the market that I can get the most amount of dollars for the least amount of time being in the market. The problem with selling premium is that you have to be in the market constantly 'til you wait for that little crap to decay. Okay, so every day, every minute that you are in the market you have risk. That's the problem with selling premium, and it ties up your hands and your flexibility. My first 9 years of trading as an option seller I pretty much was short premium all the time and I'm sure it chopped off a good 10 years off of my life span. I don't do it anymore." Okay yeah, that was random.
