Anybody think the new DirecTV Now will impact Netflix subscriptions?

$35 a month for 100 channels (right now)
    pre-pay 3 months = free apple TV
    sign up = Amazon firestick

Ultimately they need to go to a la carte cable. No one needs 100 channels.

The longer they drag their feet on this, the longer people will get used to "just Netflix".
Just like some of us realized that we live without football for 6 months a year already, so why can't we avoid football for 364 days (maybe we'll watch the Commercial Bowl)?

Agreed, they are not a la carte. But they do offer "tiers" much like current cable:

What do we think about an option of downloading content from Netflix? Binge watching has never been easier!

I think it's real good for netflix. Now people can avoid using their data on their phones. Great for traveling, etc.

Netflix Has Become the No. 1 Grossing iPhone App in the U.S.

Just over a year after Netflix began allowing iOS users to subscribe to its service via in-app purchases, the Netflix app has summited the Top Grossing Apps chart for iPhone on the U.S. App Store. The app had flirted with the No. 1 spot previously on November 14, 2016, when it ended the day at No. 2, and returned to second place yesterday before topping the chart for the first time today.

As NFLX adds more stuff, I find I watch nothing else, no matter what they offer.

Same. I mean Amazon has some interesting originals but it's quite bleak compared to what Netflix offers.

It's not something I would describe as a must watch, but there's a decent chance you'll like it.
It kind-of feels like a B-movie, but with a well-written protagonist who's portrayed by Kevin Spacey.
I personally loved the show. It has its own, unique feel to it.

So I just saw this trailer on YouTube. Netflix now also produces these CGI Disney-like movies?
