Upon further review the $SFLY setup is now pointless. They're being acquired for $51/share and inevitably going to merged with Snapfish and going private.
$CRON recently received a two-notch upgrade from BofA & Merril Lynch. The analysts upped their PT from $13 to $20. I agree based on both PnF measurements and the discount to Q1's point of control. The candle chart is also another great example of the market repairing long candle wicks - which depict market exuberance. I'm debating taking off my EVRI position. It re-tested the mid 12's a few days ago, but on weaker volume and has since pulled back about 60 ticks. Usually when I see something like that it's a sign more "cause" needs to be built. However, the part I'm most concerned with was that Bloomberg report from a few weeks ago stating the company is exploring a "sale". Just seems like this is no longer a "chart" play anymore. And what are the chances someone is going to come along and scoop the company up at premium equal to the PnF measurement ($54) or even just the previous POC ($15)?
Had a whole slew of downgrades in the chip sector this morning, Lam and Amat both got nailed -5%... so i finally ditched Lam for a 6% profit plus a couple dividends... 6% > 0, ill just keep that fact in mind instead of dwelling on the fact i was up 20% at one point
Might jump in AMD soon, predicting a shake out of 5/28's auction prices before ripping a cup and handle.
The volatility in $DISH (particularly today) is getting nauseating. It's shit like that sometimes that makes me hate our markets. Total whipsaw horseshit manipulation.
Probably has to do with this headline: *DISH IS NEAR A $6 BILLION DEAL FOR T-MOBILE, SPRINT ASSETS - BLOOMBERG
Not happy to hear that quite frankly. Where the hell they getting $6 billion from? Charlie Ergen writing a personal check? That could only mean stock dilution based on their poor cash flow. Both this and EVRI have gotten hit with news that hasn't been universally received. Just my luck. Holding these to fruition keeps getting harder and harder.
Balance sheet shows em sitting on about $5 billion in cash So whats that mean?... Dish is gonna take over Boost and be a mobile carrier now??
Interesting - where are you seeing that? I looked at their cash and cash equivalents as of December and they were only at $887 million.
Ah.. youre right.. i was reading it backwards.. Yahoo Finance puts the current year on the left, i was looking at 2016.. i usually use Seeking Alpha, they list current year on the right
The moves this stock makes is nutty, constant 5-10 percent moves up and down. I don't have the stomach to deal with sleeping in a position in Dish, would probably give me a heart attack.
This is a vid on the recent intraday trading of the S&P futures by Gary Fullet, the guy who first introduced me to Wyckoff.
Seriously yesterday it shot up from the low 39's to nearly 41.50 in less than 5mins. Then it tanked down to almost 38 and stops dead in its tracks, only to then catch a bounce and settle in near the prior day's close at 39.10 like nothing happened.
As you say it reached the 28.50 PnF target (using daily data) and that March 2014 high on shortened thrust. Based on 65-min data it has legs to 29.70. It will need to build cause soon. Will it do it above or below the March 2014 high? Time to pay attention I guess. Daily bars: 33-cent-box by 3-box-reversal using 65-min data:
