Man, the markets' indecision this year has been a little insane. I just wrote this on the daily market thread, but looks like the SPX has alternated between green and red for the past 8 closes. We're slowly approaching the ATHs once again...but jeebus, this 3K level has been one tough nut to crack. Seems like we've been always testing this area just before a FED meeting as well, but ultimately ending up failing. I wonder if we'll finally break past this 3K level with some conviction for once...or if we'll fail once again for what seems like an umpteenth time, and just remain in this range bound, or "road to nowhere market" as I like to call it of late.
Yeah maybe good earnings from MSFT and AMZN later this week could push us to the ATH, those names have big enough market cap to move the market
This is a tad late yet I've seen you're mentioning the Asian Markets. It seems to me that although this is primarely about stocks, mentioning livestocks can't really hurt, in the light of this week's (and two ago's) events. This market continues to be directionless Pretty bad outlook released by TXN, let’s see if it is an one off or other chips companies are struggling too
Haha, I couldn't agree more there I missed much of the day's action today, but looks like I didn't really miss all that much I know I mentioned this yesterday, but I'm personally really flabbergasted by the indecisiveness of this market. Just cannot get over that 3K barrier on the cash SPX with any conviction. We may have to wait until the FOMC announcement at the end of next week until we might see some kind of a direction. (or not )
Internet conspiracy going around that Twitters Jack Dorsey is MIA after being seen mumbling and leaving the office several days ago....
I sold out of TWTR before the ER, it was below this month's pivot all month and even went below S1 after getting rejected at the 20 sma; plus it was below the 5-week ema. So I had to be wary that it could sell off, but I still wasn't thinking this would happen, -19%.
