Hi Stock 1234 nice to see you here .... I have to congratulated itman - .DoveJohns and yourself on the knowledge shown on team/players etc... Netherland was a pleasure to watch those years with Johan Cruijff and company unfortunately they didn't make the qualification ... agree Ukraine played very well but IMO on the first matches the strongest (last evening Germany) always play under their possibility ...
Giovinco isn't bad but he isn't a team player.... like Balotelli they play for themselves ... specially with Conte (the Italian trainer) he only wont players that play for the team and work (run) no stopping.. beside this season he hardly played he was constantly on the bench Balotelli he earned too much money too young he is most interested in the night life (Ferrari and girls and get into trouble) last night>>> Mario Balotelli was involved in a brawl took place at dawn on Saturday outside a local Lonato, near Brescia. This was reported by the local newspaper Bresciaoggi . <<< With his brother Enoch was involved in a fist fight at dawn on Saturday outside a club in Lonato del Garda, a 33 year-old has lost three fingers of one hand in an attempt to escape a beating. It remains to be clarified the role of Mario as the reasons and dynamics of the fight now you know why he hasn't been selected ....
I do agree Balotelli have a knack for getting into trouble. Holland is a choke country but the Ajax system produces a lot of great players but the problem with Holland when its the big dance too much bickering in the locker room which leads to failure. If you pay attention to Barca it still have Cruyff method of football (total football) thats why they are so successful.
yesterday results Spain- Czech 1-0 Rep Ireland - Sweden 1-1 Belgium - Italy 0-2 (I don't need to add anything else )
i tried to copy and paste but doesn't work properly.... so here is the link who ever like to see the full tables results http://www.espnfc.com/european-championship/74/table
Italy always seems to do well when they are the underdog rather than the favorite lol. Belgium might have better individual talents but Italy plays better as a team
I didn't get a chance to watch a legend like Cruyff playing unfortunately, was sad to hear he passed away Dennis Bergkamp was my favorite player
spot on .... I think Italy surprised 80% of Italian as well specially against Belgium... but Conte (the trainer) is good to get results without stars/champions...... (he will miss the best midfielders Veratti and Marchisio both injured) now are capable o lose an easy one.... although Conte always want to win.... lets wait and see
are you Dutch? or just like the Dutch players I like any champions to watch ... Platini was good as well Gullit like goalkeeper my Idol was Dino Zoff
what I like about Italy national team on the big stages "it's business not sport" as a former Italian national manager said. Ciao Paolo Rossi was great to watch.
bte today matches Tuesday, June 14 Austria vs. Hungary -- Bordeaux (6 p.m. CET/12 p.m. ET, ESPN) Portugal vs. Iceland -- Saint-Etienne (9 p.m. CET/3 p.m. ET, ESPN) we will see Ronaldo in action
I was just a kid when Koeman and Van Basten was still playing for the national team, so I haven't seen them playing much despite I know that they are very famous I am more familiar with players like Overmars and Seedorf and of course I like them too Too bad lately the Dutch hasn't produced a lot of stars after the era of Robben, Van Persie, and Sneijder, etc.
Not a Dutch, I think I just liked their style of play and the orange jersey caught my attention The first Italian player that I got to know was Roberto Baggio, I was a big fan of him. Now my favorite Italian player is Buffon
Memphis shows a glimmer of greatness so far hopefully Ajax,PSV and FEY youth camp have some hidden talent for they National Team down the road.
Yes I thought Italy looks kinda weak on paper this year, but they surprised me once again lol. Italy should be the favorite to win the Group now, and the second place is really up for grabs
Must agree their style of football is a beautiful thing to watch but the keep coming up a bit short…. mind you England is the worst no major wins since I think the 60's. Roberto was a gentleman never seen him lose his cool.
I saw France, England and Germany play so far and so far from what I see France and Germany impress me, I'm waiting to see Spain, Italy and Croatia. Don't think Portugal is good enough would be very surprise if they go far before the start of the tournament I liked England lol never believe I would have ever made that choice but after watching them play Ukraine I decided to just be a fan of Euro.
