OK, so I thought it might not be a bad idea to get a thread like this going in here for discussing the 2019-nCov. I know we already have a similar thread for posting health related topics like this here: https://www.stockaholics.net/threads/health-concern-topics.281/ But I really felt like this warranted its own dedicated thread. With the recent outbreak of the novel cornavirus in China recently, I am curious to hear how many of us here on Stockaholics are worried that this could potentially morph into something far greater/worse. Feel free to use this thread to discuss this virus, post news updates, etc etc. This will be our dedicated thread on Stockaholics for discussing all of this. Feel free to share whatever you want relating to this virus. I will try to post some images in here as well. Thanks!

The coronavirus is such a volatile threat to the market, it could be a nothing scenario everything will keep going over the next several months, or we could be one new story away from the market collapse. Whatever it is, I recommend buying short-term insurance in the options market.

I'm new to the forum and trading. I feel I'm out of place but will say that as a veteran and a member of another forum I've been associated with for many years by the name of professionalsoldiers.com, a website of many vetted folks spread around the world doing good and dirty deeds as we speak... The news is not good.. Hope it can help some of you in your decision making as your "house" has been a great help to me.
I have a friend in Europe, he's telling me the numbers they estimate are much higher than what we are getting.

It's admittedly a bit worrisome reading some of the stuff in there. At this point I don't see how we don't avoid a full scale global pandemic.
