Freefall ... DAX loosing 10% in a day. If we continue this way pretty soon there will be some nice bargains there. Edit: Bayer per example, already on 50 euros level. And getting cheaper and cheaper at this rate ...
here we go @stock1234 as promised here's the one for the SPX. (note: this is not actually "official" until market close today...intraday doesn't count )
just a quick note here -- the DJ30 just fell to an intraday low of -9.50% about a minute or so ago ... fwiw that actually happens to be the largest 1 day % move intraday for the DJ30 since going all the way back to the crash of 1987 ... yes, even larger than any day we had in 2008 which imo is pretty doggone amazing
Well unless some kind of miracle happens, I guess today all major indexes will be in the bear market officially
Keep an eye on that VIX. I'm definitely not a buyer here. But if I WERE a buyer, with a VIX that high I'd take advantage of the high options premiums and sell Puts on anything I think represents value at these levels. When (not if, but when) you get put, you'll get the same shares you like here at a lower cost basis. Or you could wait until maximum COVID-19 societal shutdown occurs in USA (I think the US Catholic church officially cancelling Sunday mass and telling parishioners to stay home [during Lent!] & Disney Florida shutting down would be good proxies for approaching maximum societal paralysis) and see where valuations are at that point.
Fed to pump more than $500 billion into short-term bank funding, expand types of security purchases https://www.cnbc.com/2020/03/12/fed...nding-expand-types-of-security-purchases.html Market always bouncing a little bit off the lows
funny you mention "miracle" -- could that fed announcement just a bit ago turn out to be the "miracle" needed to save the bull? haha. would be hella amazing if this thing closes flat or green today
