Duke, Kansas pull out of NCAA Tournament https://www.amny.com/sports/duke-kansas-pull-out-of-ncaa-tournament/ This March Madness would be kinda suck, I wouldn’t be surprised if they will just cancel the whole thing at this point.
it's crazy to me how we're not even 3 months into 2020 yet, and already it's turning out to be one of the most historic years (not just market related) ever on record what an insane time to be living in
I know but unfortunately most of the events have been bad so far in 2020, let’s hope for a better 2020 rest of the way
MLB to suspend all operations, including spring training, due to coronavirus https://www.cnbc.com/2020/03/12/mlb...tions-spring-training-due-to-coronavirus.html A right thing to do I guess but kinda suck that we will have almost no sport to watch
Toilet paper are all gone in my area, tried to order online from Target and they are out of stock too amazing
Yeah not surprising. I am disappointed since I am a big basketball fan but it probably is the right thing to do. I know many people would say overreaction but I would rather be safe than sorry
Fanduel and Draftkings probably will struggle a little bit with most sports in suspension until further notice
Euro 2020 and Olympics ODDS-ON to be axed as coronavirus outbreak fears spread across world https://www.thesun.co.uk/sport/football/11087427/euro-2020-olympics-odds-on-cancelled-coronavirus/ 2 big events in the summer, there is still hope that the virus will be contained in a month or two but these events definitely are in danger of getting cancelled
That's gonna hurt Disney, like ESPN always has. That plus the disney land and disney world closings are going to make for a helluva time for their recovery.

Experts expect over 1 million coronavirus deaths in America from ‘a major preventable public health disaster (see https://www.rawstory.com/2020/03/ex...m-a-major-preventable-public-health-disaster/) Above article based on a series of tweets (see https://twitter.com/ASlavitt/status/1238308334509469697) coming from a former administrator of the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services. Is this breathless media reporting? Political axe grinding? Does this get filed under "better safe than sorry?" Or under "stop wasting our time with alarmist outcomes"? I think we'll know better the answers in a very short time...either the SHTF as many have predicted, or it doesn't.
One silver lining is that I get to work from home starting next week. That is 2.5 hours a day that I will not be driving the 405 freeway from south OC to downtown Long Beach. My wife also works from home. Not worried in the least about surviving the virus, but I may need to put away the kitchen knives or at least set up my office to where my back is not facing the door. Married guys know what I'm talking about.
