    Its speeding up in Italy.

600 confirmed deaths yesterday, 800 today.

    PER DAY of course.. ??

But who cares.. My parents both 70 made a round trip,

First Doctors, then at German Wallmart and then to the Syrian store..

    "Better meat there.."

    Ok....

    What to say, except..

    I support a complete lock down 100 %.

because of the stupidity, nothing more to say..

    Greets.

Yup, Z--the tourists (or "TOURONS" as they are sometimes known here) are ignoring the risks.

They were counting on people doing the right thing by not having large crowds gather. Most people were complying but of course, the younger generation on spring break didn’t, so they had to close the beaches.
That’s true all over the world. Tell young people they can’t do something, and they’ll do it.

Was listening to NPR tonight--they're expecting a flood of sick people in Florida in 2,3 weeks.

The situation is dire, that's the least we can say, for the snowbirds in Florida( not to mention those that were travelling and couldn't get back on a plane because of the lockdowns or the fact that they were diagnosed as sick prior to boarding. Can you imagine? Being told you can't board on your way back home after ''coughing up'' lots of money for the return ticket just because you're...well, not necessarily coughing but...you get the idea) https://globalnews.ca/news/6682090/coronavirus-canadian-snowbirds-florida/

For now, Hayes said she plans on staying home and going out only when needed, such as to the pharmacy or grocery store.

But even the Canadian Snowbird Association was preparing its members for an imminent return.

“As snowbirds make their preparations to return home to Canada, it is important that they heed the advice of public health officials regarding coronavirus disease,” the group said on its website.

The situation has prompted countries around the world to clamp down on travel both within communities and across international boundaries.

Canadians themselves woke up Saturday to a new reality: the world’s longest undefended border is no longer open for routine, casual traffic between Canada and the United States.

I can't help besides wondering how long this will last. I have folks living south of the border and glad I've seen them before this lockdown became effective.

Some others were travelling when this first started and they left the boat after making a few phones. Most people aren't that lucky and still where they managed to rent. I wouldn't want to be in their cabin with only a small window and no patio& terrace.

While flights out of Honduras have resumed, Foord said, incoming planes are not allowed to have any passengers on board.

The journey home, however, may not be so straightforward.

Foord said he has to fly to Houston, to Vancouver, to Victoria, and with so many different airlines and destinations involved, anything can happen.

“The whole thing could fall apart,” Foord noted. “If something else transpires and travel plans change or something causes the airports to be shut or United decides they’re not going to fly — who knows.”

The government is offering loans of up to $5,000 to help Canadians trying to get home cover travel costs.

“It’s a huge challenge to get people home. In Peru alone there are about 3,000 Canadians who are stuck there and there’s no international flights,” Weiler said. “We’re working closely with WestJet, with Air Canada and with other providers to get people home.”

Weiler said the government is keeping in touch with Canadians abroad who’ve registered with Canadian embassies and consulates.

“We’re not going to shut down our border to Canadians, but when other countries shut down their borders it makes it very difficult for us.”
