Well the market gapped down and went up like I thought it would but I didn`t make a move today, just waiting on the big boys so I can follow and maybe pick up a few more crumbs
this market is crazy lol, makes no sense. i say this as i keep buying the dips in tsla.....will be interesting to see what happens if the spx makes it up the 200 day.
oh man is tomm. really the 10yr anniv of the flash crash? perhaps the most intense 15 minutes of market action i have ever witnessed. ben lichtenstein no longer squawks from the trading pits in chicago anymore but his call on may 6th, 2010 was absolutely the most riveting 15 min market play-by-play of the s&p futures i've ever heard. i still get goosebumps to this day listening to this clip

amazing indeed, but then again i guess not too surprising when we have qe-infinity i feel like this graphic pretty much hits the nail on the head to a tee
Well I feel like I am repeating myself too much. However it does seem li Haha yeah I wouldn’t be surprised to see this market continues to ignore the economy and earnings for awhile and continues to go higher
that's a pretty sizeable down tick there just now for sure ... any news you're seeing behind this move? don't currently have the platform open atm. guessing just some chop as we head into the close.
here is the 21yr average performance of the indices for this month of may courtesy of stock trader's almanac. it's interesting that right about where we are now is where the month puts in the high, then enters the sell in may go and away period. which would be right about inline with marcy's thinking that perhaps today was the hom (high of month).
Not seeing any meaningful news for the market, at least I can’t find them Maybe some profiting taking here
It was a Bond Market announcement and after the announcement the market basically went back up to near where it was.
I remember that day very well, has it been that long ago wow. I was at cash and only day trading and when I saw it happening I tried to find out what happened to make the crash. Finally I got word that it was a fat finger that started it. I didn`t know what to buy as I saw the market going back so I bought some TNA and cashed out that same day.$$$$$
I screwed up royally haha. Sold all my shares of Portola Pharm last week @7.35, woke up this morning to see it at almost $18.. guess it's a hard way to learn to be patient.
