    Welcome, Darrick.

Good luck in the markets and I hope you enjoy your summer this July. :D

[Edit: I was born in Saskatchewan so I feel I can mock the weather.]

Hey everyone! Bassil Khilo here, the Founder & CEO of WarrenAi, a stock research tool that makes long-term stock-picking easy.

I'm from Toronto, Canada and have been studying Warren Buffett and his approach to the markets for some years now.

He was my first introduction to the markets and am very happy this was so. I'm strict a long-term investor that follows the principle of buying wonderful companies at a fair price.

I recently launched WarrenAi.com and would love everyone's feedback! Imagine Warren Buffett's brain but in algorithms, that's basically what we are.

Recently I took positions into EBIX, BIIB and ANET. EBIX dropped to lows of $8.90 in which I bought some at an average cost of $9.20 per share. Got into BIIB at $276 per share and ANET as $161 per share. All three of these companies were flagged by WarrenAi as having the WarrenAi Economic Moat and when I saw the sell-off that occurred due to COVID-19, I jumped on these stocks like a lion.

Man I was hoping for an active discussion forum but so far all i can find is spammed out bs articles with links to other crap articles. Organization pumps aka ads. And copy paste market news with zero user input. Is this just a pbn for site pumping? Am I in the wrong section I just have been scanning through the new posts section.

There's nothing wrong with getting a great deal on boner pills but, if you're looking for content, there are forums for trading (trade journals), investing (a couple of grumpy old guys post a lot of detail on markets and companies), deep dives into various trading techniques, forums that discuss trade minutia and invite forum members to ask any question.

If you can't find great trading/investing information, I suggest clicking on a different part of your screen. It's all here, even 91 octane. Go for the gold, my new friend.

There's some spam for sure, like any other forum. There are a few people who are doing technical analysis here, a few investors who regularly discuss thoughts on the market. There's a weekly thread in the stock market today section with discussion. The best way to create discussion though is to be a part of it.

If you have any ideas to turn the site into more discussion, we're open to them and would appreciate the input. Hope you stick around!

I've never found everything I was looking for, either. What I found is much better.

I've never found another value investor who was willing to discuss valuing corporation in an online forum. Now that I think about it, I don't discuss specific valuations either, although I've made vague suggestions of where I value Tesla. To a value investor, fundamental value is all that matters.

When I got here, there was no long term investing discussion. It was 100% trading and technical analysis.

Shortly after I started posting, WXYZ showed up. We are both long term investors who are overdosing on boredom. I've enjoyed his blog very much.

Not long after that, I noticed Marvan. I don't know if Marvan is a long term investor but he discusses individual companies in terms that makes me think we are looking for very similar corporate behaviours.

T0rm3nted here seems to have a near identical view to mine on nearly every topic but his trading journal is 100% focused on very short term trading while I'm 100% focused on long term investing. Perhaps this is a function of his youth and my old age.

StockJock-e doesn't align with my thought process nearly as much and yet we seem to come to the same conclusions on many topics. Where we don't share the same view, I find great value in his perspective.

The point is, I haven't found someone who thinks and does what I think and do. Nobody is explaining to me that I'm doing it exactly right. Instead, I've found some really sharp people who have perspectives that have expanded my own and helped me improve my game. I've learned a lot from reading here and I've been around the sun quite a few times.

This is a site for adults. It doesn't spoon feed what you want to know, however, I would contend someone who is open minded and interested in expanding their world can learn more through quiet observation of competent peers with different approaches than they can from a homogenized forum where people gravitate toward threads that reflect their point of view.

However, I'm sure the discussion you seek is here. You just have to click on the relevant forum and start reading.

I wish you had been around when TipToppTrader was. He was very good at what he did and very much enjoyed discussion. He died a couple years ago.

Hi, I'm Steve. Irish guy living in Australia. Started USA stocks last year when I saw the market go nuts. I do a mixture of day trades, swing trades and a few long terms. My favorite at the minute in USA stocks are Shopify, Nvidia, Western digital, Sunopta, Service now, grubhub and I got in and out of Facebook just before and after their earning which was a nice little win.

My best picks are PPE in Australia, who specialize in recruitment for the medical industry, I just bought back in for mid-long term as surgeries are back on so starting to ramp up again after being smashed in March.

DXB on the ASX is my no1. Very close to phase 2b trials results in kidney disease meds, patients have been kept on treatment since first trial to great success as instructed by their specialists and they are on track to finish on time and on budget next month. Already 4 bagged from them and they still only have a market cap of 40mill AUD! Crazy fro a biotech so far advanced.

Hope to learn some new tricks from everyone here. Thanks!

    Welcome, Steve.

I'm no Tony Robbins but have you considered setting down the pint of Guinness for a few minutes and put some time into a more positive screen name? Just spit balling. It's all good with me, either way. :D
