Watching if QQQ makes a strong move off the bottom of the channel 15-minute chart: ALRM is similarly at the bottom of its channel
NPTN teasing a breakout, watching this one early Monday. Weekly chart to see 3 years of trading range.
AAXN getting some action from the protests/riots. Also part of the ITA ETF that has been strong lately. Looks good above 90.10.
This has been a very interesting time for investing. If it was not for the feds dumping an extreme amount of money into the economy to get the markets back up before the election the picture on Wall street would be much different. It reminds me of the movie The Big Short. We know the crash is coming, we just don't know when. My strategy for now is to invest smaller amounts in stocks that have a good chance of going up quickly and that have little chance completely falling apart. Then take the profits and invest them in safe, dividend paying stocks like Canadian banks. Right now Walmart is starting to look good. As the riskier investments start to falter the money will filter to the safer bets like Walmart which is already running in the buy-zone if you use RSI as a gauge.
I like the look of BV and LIVN. They kinda remind me of Rocks seller exhaustion trades. You can also see some intra-day accumulation bars on the 5m. I usually don't trade this setup but I'm watching to see how it plays out over the next week or two.
Model likes Ko and FSX at support, IEF for a breakout Just at the lower channel Bpunced twice off the 20 MA Possible spring for you Wycoff traders Failed at 20 day after several tests, headed down to 50 day at lower channel but struggling with 20 MA. possible breakdown
Welcome Ken Just a few comments on the picks MGM has a total debt of 20.54B and a Debt/Equity 1.47 (they do own alot of property equity plus 6.02B in cash), The Levered Free Cash Flow is just 3.39M but I am concerned that it may be 2 years before it can be profitable again, otherwise they should do just fine. SAVE has a total debt if 3.69B, a Debt/Equity 165.34 and a negative Levered Free Cash Flow of -348.24M. It may be concerning that there is not enough cash to cover the debt. Current Total Cash is 894.43M so they will be ok for a little while, Also the next 5Y EPS is estimated at -14.8%. Most of the airline stocks are in a bad place right now, especially with the high debt. Not all will survive. AMD a much better company. Total Debt of just 699M and a Levered Free Cash Flow 549.25M, and 1.38B in cash so they are in solid condition and should do just fine. The semi's have rallied hard and the current P/E is a whopping 131.45.The forward P/E is a more reasonable 35.24, assuming they can deliver on an EPS estimated growth of 35.56% for the next 5 years. It might not hurt to wait on a better price for entry. Just my 2 cents however
At its ATH, but looking like that $620 level was the top. Watch out if it falls out of the channel and below the 50d sma. Monthly chart reveals that it has basically been in one big trading range ($250-$600) for 5 1/2 years now. Other biotechs like BIIB and GILD also in these big ranges. Heck a representation of the whole industry, IBB is also in a 5 1/2 year sideways action.
I made a little profit off of CRON last week, and probably should have just held. I just had to make something after it went up 20% in a day, couldn't handle losing all my gains in 2 days. But looking at it this weekend, it looks like it could go up again. LOL. CRON, I have never prayed to you before. I have no tongue for it. No stock, not even you, will remember if were were good traders or bad. Why we bought or why we hedged. No, all that matters is that the 34 ema held support. That's what's important. Value pleases you, CRON, so grant me one request--Grant me tendies! And if you do not listen, then the Hell with you!
I would agree totally. The future for the entertainment and airline industry is not promising and AMD is, and has been a solid company.
I had that crap last week (CRON) and sold w/ loss. Had also a few CGC, that ones decided to hold ... we shall see how it goes. I like this chart, and like price here.
Ok in CRON again; after changing my frame of reference, it looks like it's still got a shot. Exiting if it goes back to today's low.
