Yahoo Finance did a piece on the Jefferies price target that has moved from $1200 to $2500 ($500 post split). The Yahoo analyst described it as, "they are almost chasing this valuation by changing it to match market price". No kidding. lol!
Did Putin short Tesla? Damn, someone deserves a raise. Glad that the Tesla employee did the right thing.
CCP reports Three Gorges Dam is down 1m to 163. It's a shame they are so untrustworthy, when it comes to these sort of issues. I hope that number is correct. Meanwhile, the watershed that feeds TGD is slated for 15" of rain in the next 10 days. I hurt for the people affected by this. This is nothing short of a humanitarian crisis.
I wonder if Chinese law requires citizens to use less spice on low air quality days? Driving home from China Buffet, air quality in the car can get pretty bad.
Tesla's automation arm, the Grohmann division, has developed vaccine manufacturing equipment. Kind of neat. Meanwhile, the stock price seems to be pretty stable, so far, post-split.

It seemed a forgone conclusion that Tesla would end up around $500/shr and stay there for a while. The market likes round numbers. I'm just surprised it happened on the first day. Apparently, there was demand for shares at a more affordable price. Our portfolio is inexplicably on fire with Tesla being the 55 gallon drum over which we warm our hands on a cold day.
With about $9B in cash, Tesla just issued $5B of stock overnight. I have no idea what that's about or why they want that much cash.
Usually when I see a stock make a move like this, Im excited to play the downside, but TSLA scares me on the short side!
I am expecting singleton model Y copies to roll off the new production line at Shanghai, this month. We may even see runs of three cars at a time. I don't understand what happens to these cars but I'm pretty sure they are not sold retail and previous production calibration efforts have yielded several rejected samples that are scrapped.
For the record, I do not have the first idea what Elon's mention of revolutionary automotive production approach is. It's difficult to believe there is a big efficiency gain to be had but Tesla does like to challenge convention so looking forward to seeing it at Giga Berlin when production starts.
