From my limited ability to research right now (6-day workweeks) TUP seems as if it's really trying to turn itself around. Also, the lockdown has more people cooking at home and Tupperware could see an increase in sales. I'm in at $3.48. I wanted a lot more earlier, but I couldn't free up cash.

Tupperware financials okay? Is there a lot of debt? Is it currently profitable?

As a consumer, I know that it's a legacy brand. Everyone buys storage containers, and refer to them generically as "tupperware". I honestly don't know where the real Tupperware is sold, or how many people specifically seek it out. I do know that I have whatever self sealing storage containers are sold at the local discount store, that I have never sought out the brand name Tupperware, and I suspect that most people buy whatever is on sale at Wal-Mart or Target without looking twice for the brand name.

My curiosity has been piqued. I want to look into this Tupperware, and their sales. Do they have an owners club, whereby they populate a database? What are the sales figures versus other storage container products? Is there an institutional product line for.commercial sales? Is there global distribution? Are they still relying on door to door home sales like Cutco knives, Kirby Vacuum, and Fuller.Brush?

My wife buys a lot of it and it's an MLM, from what I can tell. One of her old co-workers is a double diamond level dealer.

I thought it was retail over the counter. So it's like Amway, Mary Kay, and Herbalife. There's an adult novelty company that does that. I know this guy, not me, who has a girlfriend that is a sex toy hostess. She has parties with food, drinks, a DJ, and dancing. Then off to the side, behind the scene, she has porn, lube, sex toys, costumes..... All for sale. Usually on a Friday, after work, in the financial district. Some non-descript sandwich shop which only serves lunch will let her use their space. All these office ladies get drunk, dance a little, then go into the back room where they spend a fortune without going to a sleazy porn shop.

As an avid baker and at-home cook, I can verify that the brand Tupperware is MUCH higher quality than the random wal-mart or grocery store containers. And, the price reflects that.

I have a friend who haunts estate sales for Tupperware. The stuff is very high quality and long-lasting. I have never bought Tupperware new for myself, I've lucked out and found pieces around through the years.

Real world experience. I like that. I have yet to have a sealed container from Wal-Mart fail. When that happens, I will look for a better quality.

I know someone who does that with hand tools. Classic and vintage, made in USA, Snap On. I have cheap stuff, and fix everything around the house, change oil, tune up the car.....Sears Craftsman.

A genius friend of mine found a thrift store in a wealthy neighborhood. He bought every KitchenAid mixer he found. We're talking the original, weighs quite a bit, practically bulletproof mixers.

It. Never. Freaking. Occurred. To. Me. Those things are several hundreds of dollars new, he'd grab them for 20-30 bucks.

I closed my position yesterday at a little over $13. I would reconsider getting back in if that Gap fills under $10 would be ideal

Hot stock, up 687% in 6 months, holding its ground well today.

It's in the small cap value ETF, IWN. Who says value is dead?
