Yes I think 2043 is key too. If those don't hold the ma(100) is right below. Seems like lots of support around these levels, so I wouldn't be panic selling long positions here imo.
man it is a little comical how tos mobile starts acting up right when the markets are hitting NLOD ... what a riot lol
just a quick FYI -- there is no market-wide halt until at least a -7% drop (1965ish on the SPX for those keeping score at home lol) then after 3:25pm there will be no halt ... i hightly doubt we see a halt today but i guess we never know on a friday and with europe now closed for the week ... hmm
The bear in me says we're going to test the overnight low. It's a very poor low. We would have gone lower if it wasn't for the 5% limit down halt last night. The bull in me says we're going to 2077 ES.
2045, just a tad below last week's low of 2050. I'm not trading this but I expect a bit of a bounce here for ST.
I like to watch the currencies to get a more valuable opinion of the trend. I was expecting the USD to break further down and yen up so today's moves both positive - I attribute the yen to being the yen and the dollar move to being a safe-haven. The bull market is the only green item on the politico's wall of shame. If they let the market drop, there's nothing good left. So in a way I think they are all-in, sink or swim. They have to prop it up...forcibly if needed.
I have a long term support TL on the DOW at 17455. It got close to it twice today but bounced off slightly. That's the level to watch for today's close. A seeming close below means I'll jump into puts at EOD for the inevitable large gap down that's to be expected on Monday.
Not panic, just a uncertainty I guess. I feel this all rebounds by next week rather than the start of something bigger.
I agree not to panic as that can cause mis-judgement. Even the worse times there can be some bright spots can pop up.
Yeah I think the US equities could attract some money from Europe, and the Fed probably is on hold now after the vote yesterday so we remove the rate hike uncertainty from the market for awhile
