If I was a betting man, AH and PM will be a bloodbath with even less ability to buy than normal. If I was a betting man, tomorrow more blood unless the buy button is restored.

So I didn't get to read through all of todays posts until now but I believe E-trade allowed GME to be bought all day. I didn't buy any GME but did try to by AMC just to see and 2 shares went through. App was slower than usual but things went through. I'm still holding my $25 shares and will continue to hold because it's not money I need. Straight YOLO money and now it's all based on principle. Hopefully there's others out there that feel the same.

Im going to have to disagree with Papa Elon

Nothing wrong with shorting, its a valid trading strategy. The problem is shorting shares that dont exist.

I'm at Ameritrade and am deeply disappointed with their actions in this.

Yet another page of history in the making.

They were caught in their own game, unless some sneaky tricks and favors did not occur many more would have been forced into bankruptcy.

Retail has won the war but the battle has just begun.

For every 1 that hates WSB >100 have learned to love them for the guts and courage they have put into the effort, some of these guys have taken large financial hits this morning. We now know why and who was behind it.

I would start at the bottom and close out accounts with robinhood and find a broker that doesnt use the clearinghouse that helped try to destroy these guys.
Let robinhood crumble away in the dust and move on to the next ones.
Some of the brokers that participated are on the exchanges. Short the shorts comes to mind, find the weakness just like the funds do and pounce with fire in your eyes.

The world is watching and taking notes, some very high caliber players are giving support and joining the battle.

Knowledge is power, your wallet is more powerful.

WSB the force is with you. You have helped open our eyes.

    Gentlemen, please consider this:

Trading hot stocks is largely a game of deception with rumor, intelligence, counter intelligence, and deliberately set traps designed to strip people of their money. It's a rigged game.

Some years ago, Jim Cramer told a story from when he ran a hedge fund. He toured Apple, not long before an iPhone release. Apple had never missed their iPhone release schedule so he asked if things were on schedule. "Yes." So, he and a couple of hedge fund buddies started a rumor that Apple wasn't sure they would make the release schedule, this time. That drove the price down. Then, they bought a bunch of Apple stock. The product announcement hit, the stock went up, and they made a bunch of money in a short period with little effort.

Buying stock at market causes us to trade through front runners who buy our stock when they see our buy order hit the queue, then sell it to us for a tiny markup. They can do this to us because they have supercomputers and near zero network latency. These front runners pay to co-locate next to the matching engine (where buy and sell orders are matched for transactions) and make a huge majority of exchange income. I seem to recall NASDAQ makes something like 70% of their income from co-locations.

Trading options is really picking up lawmaker's scraps, as they can buy options before passing legislation and it's all legal. Nancy Pelosi bought call options right around the time Biden announced the government would buy 1m battery electric vehicles.

There is a way to minimize these factors out of relevance. If you find a well run business at a decent value and hold it for several years, the couple of pennies you lose to front runners on the buy and sell transactions becomes meaningless. You can even use limit orders to eliminate that factor entirely. None of the other factors apply.

The trick is to find a group of honest, hard working, and smart people. Once you find them, buy a piece of their business and then continue your life with the smug knowledge that you are going to succeed.

There will be problems. There will be drama. You will wonder if you should sell at a few points in the decade you own the company but, if management work hard to solve the problems, you will end up in a very nice place.

It's the ultimate arbitrage that harnesses human potential. It's my secret but I'm going to try to make it the next big fad.

Actually you bring up a great point. Follow the trails of NANCY stocks. Most dont know the site that tracks the political leaders. Its out there if you know where to look. A very profitable leap into the future.

So once GME and the current basket of meme stocks are done, whats the bet that we start seeing 50 new penny stocks being pumped?
