WELL......I was in the GREEN today. I made back about 10% of what I lost yesterday. BUT....the SP500 beat me by .62%.

I BET a lot of people were SHOCKED by Apple being down solidly today. Dont worry......this has been the norm for years now....great earnings earns the company PUNISHMENT for a few days going forward.

The markets LOST STEAM.....as they moved through the last hour of trading to the close. I think....they were just EXHAUSTED by everything going on today. It is a good thing that tomorrow is Friday and the end of the market week. EVERYONE needs a couple of days to think and digest what is happening right now......and.....come back fresh on Monday.

    Long term folio +0.09
    Short term +1.87
So... the usual... Tesla brought my long term down... but Twilio was up nicely today as I expected it to be.... great company to own... I owned them back as a short term position, but now I’m a believer.
In the short term EVERYTHING was up... but NOW was up BIGLY! Great earning reports got that stock up 7.31%.... NICE. Even though it will likely go down tomorrow, kind of like Netflix, I have decided to leave that company as a long term in my short term portfolio (hope that makes sense)

Btw.. I was very close today to add a lot of juice to my VZ position... it’s just that... I don’t really do div stocks.
But I think that the company is at a great buying point IF dividends is your game.
Just my opinion, don’t want anyone listening to someone as inexperienced as ME

WXYZ, what do you think about GameStop? I'm thinking about selling my entire portfolio to buy GameStop calls. Good idea?

I'm not WXYZ, so you are unlikely to have any interest in my opinion, but I will chime in. It will be friendly conversation, if nothing else. :)

I have never owned Verizon and don't know a lot about it but I have owned two different cellular businesses since the 90s and they have been nothing short of dazzling. Back in the day, I used to reinvest dividends myself but once I set them up to DRIP, they did even better with the quarterly compounding and occasional split.

I'm not sure how cell companies will do going forward, because SpaceX StarLink has the potential to redefine the cellular space with cheap backhaul. If I could buy StarLink today, I'd go all in. I don't see SpaceX driving other companies out of business but I do think they will make it difficult to compete with solar/cellular/backhaul that no one else can touch in remote areas where cell networks are expensive to own and operate.

stop it.. don’t sell yourself short (just had to use this phrase with everything else short that’s going around)
I like VZ only as a long term position bcs they have a good history, great div history and SERIOUSLY undervalued. Even tho they have debt, their debt to equity ratio is good as well as debt+interest coverages are not bad.
But as far as the forecast, I am clueless, you definitely got me there.
I wanted to get them today and just leave them and see how I “like” a position which only gets me dividends. Kinda like savings in a bank with a great interest rate. Which would also mean I will dedicate a big portion of my portfolio to this position.
But man, that would be sooooo boring ;)

I listened to the Robinhood CEO interview on cnbc and all I can say is anyone that values their investment or trading money should move that money elsewhere to an established brokerage. They remind me of an upstart offshore sportsbook company from 10-15 years ago that does shady stuff when they have too much at risk. They definitely have liquidity issues and seems like its the clearinghouse behind it.

I have some “fun” money that I do shorter trades with on Robinhood and will be cashing out as soon as possible.

Yep, Robinhood took a big shit on the little guy. The boys on reddit are not happy with the HOOD. What a great word play on ROBINHOOD (steal from the rich and give to the poor). Don't think they will IPO'ing anytime soon! Making more POPCORN.... Happy Investing!

No need too worry CONGRESS is on the case. Market Manipulation done by the same people that bank roll them. I know they will get to the bottom of this and fix it like they fix everything! I'm going to run out of POPCORN SOON. Happy Investing!

YEAH RIGHT......congress or the regulators will fix it ALL. They never miss an opportunity......they will no doubt fix it......to make things safer for the little investors.......and....in the process take away some of the little guys rights for their own good.....it will just be incidental that it will favor the BIG MONEY ELITES.

So......I have a question......any Robinhood customers on here? If so..........are you going to stick with them?

I have posted a couple of times on here about buying Robinhood stock when they do their IPO. That plan is now......OBVIOUSLY.....out the window. They certainly know how to totally........SHOOT THEMSELVES IN THE FOOT......before their impending (formerly impending?) IPO.

What I find AMAZING......is the very intertwined relationship between Robinhood and Citadel Hedge fund and Citadel Securities, a market maker sister firm of Citadel.

    If you google:

"what is the relationship between Robinhood and Citadel Hedge fund" and "FINRA fines Citadel Securities for trading ahead of customers orders"

You will see many articles talking about Robinhood, Citadel Hedge Fund, and Citadel Securities. I am not going to post them on here.....but you can easily find them for yourself.

My view.......I will NEVER do business in any way.....as a customer......... with a company like Robinhood. First.....like many of the tech companies....the customer is actually the product. Second......after this DISASTER.....I would NEVER trust them. Just my personal opinion.

I was going to answer......BUT....I am afraid someone might think I was ACTUALLY recommending the stock.

BUT.....(this is sarcasm , do not buy GameStop based on what I am about to say to TomB16)......now I see why you liquidated all Tesla.....now I see what your next BIG SCORE is going to be. You sly devil.

My recommendation would be to not move it to anyone that banned any of the meme stocks yesterday. The ones that did, you can be confident are not impartial, or had liquidity issues, so they can't be trusted. That's just my opinion. You can probably do a google search for which ones banned buy orders yesterday.

I am probably in the minority, not unusual, thinking that this is WELL beyond robinhood v everyone. It’s about a new generation of investors. It looks like they have won the first round and beat all conservative investors with new investing observations.
so if the next generation of investors are not looking at spread sheets, forecasts and history of stocks, looks like you and me will have to change our portfolio very soon.

Hmmm, all of a sudden, I UNDERSTAND Bitcoin (emphasis on sarcasm)
