I believe there's some legalities to it I read during this whole fiasco where it takes awhile to get it all processed.
In theory, the short squeeze could happen again. WSB is in disarray now, and there's no way they could regain the same support and all get back on the same page. It will not be reaching multi-hundreds again. I believe it's just as shorted as it's ever been though, last I heard.
That is true, but there are also 1000 different hedge fund and algos all watching it with microscope getting ready to pounce, making it less likely.
geez, so much buying still propping this up. Im so curious to see what GME ends up doing as a business in the long run, they better be good!
Reports are saying they will be closing lots of stores and leaning towards online. Have brought some key players on-board. At some point more and more will follow, going to be a lot of empty offices and buildings as we have learned this past year. Makes you wonder how it will impact some REITS and others that are retail heavy. SEARS was a example of what happens when you don't change with the times.
No doubt, if I'm not mistaken a couple of their guys went to gamestop. Amazon built a HUGE fulfillment center in my area years ago, its like a colony of army ants. I can order today and have it tomorrow and never leave the couch. Hell, we can do that with groceries nowadays. AI is nothing to ignore, the new green deal is here.
Watched the Friday AM open and thought "Good thing you dumped those 10 shares!" Then checked in about an hour later. Let's just say I called myself a big dummyhead. Sooooo.......drop first thing AM, run up, then float slowly down until 4? Am I getting this right?
Would like to see the actual data to back up your claim. If 60% can turn the markets upside-down, I have lots to learn.
Hate to heat it. I'm not in or have been. Bought 1 share as a souvenir but knew it would crumble. I learned a long time ago to avoid greed and fear. I typically will break a finger to realize a small gain instead of trying to milk the last penny. I almost NEVER hit the big gains, but my winners outweigh my losers.
SOmething diamond hands! You and thousands of others, many worse off than you. This was a hard lesson for so many new arrivals. I hope this experience does not lock them out the stock market going forward, its important to learn from the mistake and keep at it.
