hello, just stopping by to say hello. did our accounts get transferred from the old website ? or did everyone have to sign up new accounts ?
Their have been protesters in the street over the Brexit vote even by those that voted to leave. I wonder if this could have domino to the the Brits, to putting the move on hold while they decide what they want to do with the mess they have created,
I have been thinking the same thing. I believe the people who voted "leave" did not understand the exact ramifications and are feeling betrayed by the backtracking by some of the "leave" leaders. I am going to Europe in two weeks - should be interesting to get their opinions. I'll be in France & Germany.
Nice close at the highs! 2027 on the ES with a big buying vol into the close. Too early to celebrate just yet, Thurs and Friday I think we see some more meaningful moves.
I know right. Imagine the day if they rescind their Brexit LOL. I don't think it will happen, but who knows at this point.
Im not sure that is even possible to do another vote, but we have seen crazy things happen in the past! Its like breaking up with your girlfriend, then regretting it and getting back together!
Another referendum won't happen anytime soon. The decision to leave could be revisited if there were a general elecation in 3-4 months. The results of the referendum could also be ignored, as it is not legally binding, but doing so would risk severe political unrest with the population. Good bounce today above the 200 & 100 DMA on the SP500. I don't see a bounce convincingly above the 50 DMA in the cards over the near term, not in light of the magnitude of the Brexit decision and the storm clouds on the horizon next month for earnings. I will be increasing my short positions if we close in on 50 DMA
I have been following oil ever since the big drop and I have added the Pound to that list because of Brexit. It would be interesting to know if Soros has started to cover yet or not. We need a fly on the wall for that
Word is Soros was long in the pound before Britain vote to leave and he didn't expect it to happen….i can't confirm this is true but if it is big loss for him.
I believe b/c Cameron resigned, this helped the politicos remain "in" the EU longer. The UK cannot leave the EU without their prime minister, so they will first need to get a new one, and the soonest that can even happen is Q4. So his resignation might have been a ploy to buy time.
You are correct Chris and thanks for the correction. I heard somewhere but can't remember where, that is where it is better to document like we are doing now. Maybe he will help push back up now George Soros didn't bet against the pound this time http://www.businessinsider.com/r-ge...ling-just-before-brexit-vote-spokesman-2016-6
