I agree, you don't invest a billion dollars into something you don't expect to pay itself off.

MacRumors - Good luck on your trading!Apple VR Project

Apple has been exploring virtual reality and augmented reality technologies for more than 10 years based on patent filings, but with virtual and augmented reality exploding in popularity, Apple's dabbling may be growing more serious and could lead to an actual product or feature in the not-too-distant future.

Apple is rumored to have a secret research unit comprising hundreds of employees working on AR and VR, exploring ways the emerging technologies could be used in future Apple products. In recent months, VR/AR hiring has ramped up and Apple has acquired multiple AR/VR companies, suggesting something is afoot in Cupertino.

Im pretty sure they can easily spit out a nice sleek VR head mounted display and sell it at 2x the cost of existing ones ;)

They can. It's Apple after all. However, I doubt they will, considering all the problems AAPL's been facing lately. In my opinion, they really need a product that would return favor and impress their user base.

That's be a great idea considering how awkward existing head sets are.

This has a decade long range bound feel of Microsoft from 2000-2010. Pipeline needs to get going soon.

I doubt at this stage of VR development some company will be concerned about aesthetically pleasing appearence.

It's not just that. I heard the VR head sets also become uncomfortable to wear for an extended period of time (eyes aching and stuff). But I guess it could be expected, considering how close the screen is to your eyes.

Yeah, it's not gonna do the stock any good... I hope AAPL will be sensible enough to not get into this stuff.

Forbes - Apple Makes iPhone 7 $100 Cheaper?

Something very important emerged yesterday and its biggest implication was missed by many people: Apple AAPL +0.55% just made the iPhone 7 $100 less expensive…

That’s the exciting news following the Wall Street Journal’s ‘confirmation’ that the iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus will scrap the 16GB entry level tier in favour of a 32GB model.

The revelation also backs up a number of smaller leaks already reporting this change, but the WSJ is by far the most influential site to speak out and its track record is impeccable. Like other sources, the WSJ also claims Apple will rearrange the other iPhone tiers so out goes 16/64/128GB in favour of 32/128/256GB.

I'm not sure apple needs to make it easier for people to go with the lower tier iphones. It might hurt their bottom line even if they sell a bit more. But losing the headphone jack might bring more negativity than this would bring positivism.

That's pretty cool! I might even consider to upgrade from iPhone 6. 16 Gb is just not enough anymore...

Not going to upgrade from my iPhone 6 Plus to iPhone 7 Plus this year, thus saving the profit that I make from my AAPL July 8 $95 call for my iPhone 8. :)

So what are we expecting from Apple stock in the near future? Everyone agrees that it will dip on the iPhone 7 announcement. Anyone has plans to reinforce their position on the dip?
