I had the wonderful experience of owning puts that went up in value when GME first spiked! IV is a wonderful thing!
Today's Theory By Syynik! My stimulus payment finally arrived. I'm going to bet that others' has as well, so I'm going to -not- be surprised to see some buying. I've transferred my amount into one of my brokerages, alas, it won't arrive until the 18th.
Let's hope the new round of minnows dont jump into shark infested waters. That pertains to the overall market in general. Lots of profit taking lately, some of those newbies were nothing more than a snack.
Yeah, this kind of thing is dangerous GME is a trade and nothing more. If these guys get all emotional and philosophical about good vs evil, its not going to work out. Sell the rips, buy the dips and move on to the next one.
I was watching the volume yesterday. Not impressed. On Reddit there's some poor young guy/girl who has a margin call of 200k. ** Gil, I think we might need a vomiting emoji soon....
Especially in your early 20's Edit: I've used margin maybe 3 times, but each time, I made damn sure I had the money in savings in case of a margin call. It worked out for me two times, once I had to dash to the bank to move the money and cover myself.
INVESTOR TURNS KILLER GUNMAN KILLS MERRILL LYNCH V.P., WOUNDS HIS BROKER, THEN KILLS SELF - Sun Sentinel (sun-sentinel.com) Margin call. Need I say more?
I dont use margin. When I make a bad trade, I look in the mirror and blame that guy. I dont trade based on WSB post. I sometimes use them for ideas but thats where it ends. Sadly, a fool and his money soon part when he applies foolish methods.
And let's be honest; immaturity can crater the greatest plans. I'm proof! I flushed an embarrassing amount of money away when I first started.
Wait, there were trophies???? I want a "Doesn't Think Things Through/No Research Needed/ Big Target For Pumpers On Back" Trophy and I want it NOW!
Go ALL IN on GME 9000 leaps. Guiness has a page waiting just for you. NOT!!!!! Hopefully you decided against that. This is nothing more than a daytrade. At least to me.
Oh, yes. I'm actually waiting to see what the next earnings brings, on the 23rd. But I agree-this is an in-and-out trade if I've ever seen it.
