Ive got this trend here being tested, not seeing much buying interest just yet, this market feels lethargic down here
A nice pullback as the older whales start to collect their well deserves profits. I'm still riding the wave and if we get fortunate enough to dip below my entry I will load up with a couple more. Being the 46 range it is possible, but highly unlikely in my opinion. Time will tell. I continue to water and let the sunshine take care of my tulipbulb garden. I'm very satisfied how my garden is growing
How are you guys buying and selling bitcoin and other cryptos? Coinbase, Gemini? A newb wants to know.
Very true. Its not for the faint of heart. The ones that panic sold got smoked. The ones that held and had faith were highly rewarded. Its important to see both sides. There are no guarantees. It now is being more widely accepted as ever before. I have not been upside-down YET. It could happen, if so I will buy more. People should not follow me, instead they need to make their own choices. I use COINBASE and WEBULL.
There is a lot of interesting stuff happening in crypto, but just like the dot com bubble, when this all deflates, the strongest and best ideas will be the only survivors. I cant help but feel this latest NFT craze is just another symptom for the exuberance.
Very true. You speak words of wisdom for those that are new to the game. The same could be said about the US Dollar, being fiat it is only faith in the paper. No longer backed by gold. It is currently being diluted to a level never seen before in our history. We have foreign countries attacking us from every angle with economic wars, will we prevail or face devaluation? Our current administration has shown our many weaknesses and the World's powers have taken notice. Some are calling our bluff, others walk away. Has the sleeping giant fallen into a drug induced coma? Only time will tell. In the meantime some see BTC as a store of value.
My biggest reservation to investing more than slightly in cryptos is the fact that the banks and the governments have had a monopoly on the issuance of money, on controlling the distribution of wealth, for like forever. The US Doll Hair may not be backed by gold but it is backed by plutonium and a navy bigger than the next 8 biggest navies. I think it is very unlikely they are going to relinquish the power of that monopoly as would any of the other big centralized economies, e.g. the CCP. In an interview, Mike Green pointed out that the Bitcoin system could be taken down by simply generating empty blocks at a cost of about $8 billion. A drop in the bucket for many governments with a non-economic motivation.
A great point to consider. I have always felt the next major war will be economic, from all sides concentrating on us as the target. They would love to unthrone the dollar as the reserve currency. What if our allies become our enemy?
Well, it could be argued that it is the doll hair system that has kept the peace, relatively, since 1945. Now even Russia and China participate and rely on the system and only a few attempt to operate outside of it, e.g., Iran, North Korea and previously Iraq. I don't doubt that block chain will solve a lot of problems, like the pirating of art, music, movies, and intellectual properties, the fake news problems, voting, contracts, etc., but as for replacing or even having a significant impact on the current monetary system I have doubt.
I for one don't know nearly enough but then I'm pretty sure I'm older than Rustic1 and it seems age is no advantage when it comes to this important topic. As far as I can tell, block chain is the glue that is going to tie all the other disruptive technologies together. I fell asleep and woke up to this and thought I was transported into the future, but this 2-hour course is already 3 years old.
IM 55. But never have the know it all attitude. Always like to hear both sides from every angle. Been reading up on Mike Green, a Peter Theil protégé. So to speak. Impressive. Thanks for the info.
If the medium-term support around 54k (trendline starting in late January) doesn't hold, we're in for trouble.
Hit 53,000. I'm not running for the hills. The markets are bouncing like crazy, some of the traders are liquidating to cash in on the choppy waters. I dont plan to harvest my tulip bulb garden for awhile.
