CCL had a great really in anticipation of things improving, but it seems it may have overshot, so here is the little pullback.
Anecdotally, half a dozen friends and coworkers are expressing their frustration at the Covid-19 pandemic and subsequent lockdowns. "The freaking MINUTE we can, we are on a cruise!!!!" Is something I've heard quite a bit the past two months. That being said, 22 looks like a nice entry.
Of course, AND, I'm probably going to be masking in a year or two, just out of comfort/safety. I still like CCL here.....for later.
Not gonna lie, I like wearing the mask in cold weather and crowded areas and will probably continue to do so.
Im curious to know if the cruise ships are going to require proof of vaccinations? If there is any area that is perfect for more outbreaks, is the cruises.
I did hear something about it on NPR, I think--having a "vaccination passport" is an idea in the works.
Does anyone see light at the end of the CCL tunnel? I do not but I haven't done a deep dive on this. I apologize for being this guy but any company that attracts big money from the middle east is a highly suspect investment. It isn't an iron clad rule but certainly a red flag.
The cruise industry is in trouble. We just took a cruise that was 42% full. They are begging people to cruise, right now. I believe the industry is in big trouble. My inbox is full of cruise offers. Deep discounts. Free balcony upgrades. Things will probably improve once a couple of players are gone and the business is divided among fewer players.
