Time will tell. Part of the disruptive technology areas. Test phase is doing pretty good, government contract in the works. Still building the infrastructure. Still a ways to go for sure.

My wife is considering a Tesla for her next vehicle purchase in August when her lease through my company is up. I prefer Union-made-in-America vehicles, but I'll make an exception because of the environmental positives. Anyone got any pros/cons for me?

I don't own a Tesla but I've done some reading.

I would stay away from the performance variants with 20" rims, as a small pot-hole will destroy a wheel and require an alignment for $3K in service and huge inconvenience. The 18" wheels are said to be OK.

For people who lease, I'm not aware of a downside other than long service times in some situations. Everyone who has an experience with mobile service praises it.

I suspect she will really enjoy the car.

She has a charging station at her work, so wouldn't even have to do much charging at home, for even larger savings than most people get with the electric car vs gas.

I have heard very little complaints, but then again, almost all Tesla owners are huge fans of the brand and will rarely say anything negative.

Maybe you could give us the inside scoop! :D

As soon as the federal tax credit of $7500 for EV is back I will be picking up my Model Y. Bring it on!

Taking advantage of the dips and bought a couple of more LEAPs.

good news for early bird scalpers. i'll be at the bank if y'all need me.

Tesla shares are trading higher after the company announced that Apple would buy over $50 million worth of batteries from the company for their new energy storage project.

If this is why Tesla is up $11B today, and I don't doubt that it is, it is a sign we are playing poker with morons who drool on the cards.

$11B market cap gain on a $50M sale doesn't seem like a rational response to me.

    Go points TomB16,

the markets imo rarely reflect reality of any business, I have seen companies with more cash in the bank than their market cap.
and I have seen no or little money in the bank and a large market caps.

For example Ideanomics IDEX, today released 2020 results of $26.8 M in revenues and the stock price is higher with $1B market cap.

There is no logic in the markets only trading of financial instruments.

One thing for sure there is Quadrillions of Dollars moving around ...........
