Hopefully the release of 'Finding Dory' offsets the kid getting bitten by a gator for $DIS stock. But analysts seem really good at box office forecasts and it seems like it's already been priced in. $DIS just feels like an $MCD. Probably gonna be toying around $100 for like 3 years... But to all $DIS investors, best of luck.
Yeah, sometimes I forget how much of animals people are. Can't even count how many of those "jokes" I read about Orlando shooting and other shit that's been happening lately.
Grand Floridian Resort is part of Disney property. Disney gator attack: 2-year-old boy found dead http://www.cnn.com/2016/06/15/us/alligator-attacks-child-disney-florida/ The boy's family was at a movie night outdoors at the Grand Floridian resort when around 9 p.m. the boy waded into about a foot of water in a lagoon, authorities have said. Witnesses, including the boy's horrified parents, tried to save him. His father jumped in and tried to pry the gator's mouth open. His mother jumped in, too.
Yeah, I saw that after. The one report I had seen at the time said "near a disney resort". It's such a sad story
Yeah it's pretty bad. Usually things like this get swept under the Disney rug, and large payoff's occur. I don't think they can buy their way out of this one.
All companies pay people off, get people off their property before pronouncing them dead, etc. It's the nature of business. This one's already in the media though, so that will not be possible. Honestly, that's how it should be in cases like this. The family probably just wants to grieve and be compensated for their loss, even though it could never be enough.
what I am saying is that most of what happens there never gets reported on the national news.....seriously.
DIS was up to almost $101 today but dropped back down under $100. Been consolidating for awhile now, hopefully we can start to see a rally this week.
Well, it looks like it's getting ready for something. But I wouldn't expect major moves this week, unless we get some interesting news. Technicals are quite boring now.
I dont understand this stock behaviour. After the shanghai park I was hoping for this stock to continue to gain but it hasn't showed any remarks on that.
After that, there was the poor performance of Alice, then the Alligator incident, and then Brexit. I cut my losses on this one and have since moved on. I'm sure it will return back over $100 soon, but I thought there were better places to put my money at this time.
This remains one of my favorite companies. With a $150B market cap, its still largely undervalued long term if you include real estate, theme park & hotel sales, movies, the star wars franchise, etc. $96.40 is a key support line. $93.40 and $86 follow. I would only add on a trade down to $86 or on a trade above $99.
Walt Disney (DIS) reports third-quarter results after the close Tuesday. Between its studios, networks, theme parks and products, there's a lot going on at the House of Mouse. http://www.investors.com/news/what-to-expect-from-disney-earnings-on-tuesday/
