Started to peel the onion so to speak on the funds in the Inherited IRA. Took TireSmoke's advice and did some comparisons on Google Finance and boy there are some real stinkers. The worst of which was a Wells Fargo fund which happens to be the brokerage where my Dad parked his money with his long time advisor. Had some nice performance over time with MainStay Winslow (MLAIX), MFS Growth (MFEGX) and Voya Large Cap (PLCIX). Maybe I should just sell the other 14 funds and. park that money in those 3... OR I could take WXYZ's advice and invest it all in BABA and Bitcoin? Just kidding, just kidding!
Before you do that I would look into an ETF that tracks the S&P 500. I like Vanguard but there are other options as well. Here is what I'm seeing: MLAIX does the same thing as MFEGX but for a cheaper expense ratio (.72 vs .87) both underperform the S&P over the long term PLCIX has an expense ratio of .66 My opinion is with ETF's (exchange traded funds) you get the benefits of the diversification of a mutual funds without the expense. And they trade like stocks so if you want to sell it at todays price at 3:53 on a Tuesday, you can. Go back to the google comparison and put in those 3 mutual funds and compare them to VGT, VOO, QQQ, SPY and some of the ETF's that @oldmanram has in his post a few pages back. I am not sure how old you are or what your 'time frame' is so that will dictate you decision as well. This would also be an opportunity to take a small portion of it and look into some strong American large cap stocks.
I absolutely cannot believe that I am in the green today but I’m up… 0.3 points lol It will come soon I’m sure… the breaker will be switched… but we’ll do just fine… for now… UL does have a terrible chart and a great deal of debt… will keep away from it as well Terrible what happened with CRWD after the bell today… oh well.. a company that doesn’t generate earnings yet, but has a bright future, that’s what you get I may just dump it and get more fb tomorrow… I made my money even with the loss tomorrow

hey, @zukodany , you mentioned $27 resistance level. the moment of truth is upon us. will it break through?
Well looks like the markets dont need my help. That is a good thing since I am tied up for the next day or two. You got it Emmett.
Yesss it’s getting there… the charts support a break point with 27… at this point everyone’s playing pltr… the amount of floated short is very low and the company has a promising future… what can go wrong? I don’t know I’m also watching dlo (dlocal) a payment platform based in Uruguay which facilitates to major players as Amazon Uber Didi Nike and others. They have a great balance sheet and are in a strong market. Other than enphase I don’t own any other foreign company, but that may change soon So far my day is solidly green… booming period for stocks… I don’t think we’ve had anything like this since early feb Also watch out for Roku.. if it’s gaining another 5% I’m in it for a small stake Enjoy your week everyone

Good week so far. Stock account down a few $ from Friday, mostly because I bought TRTN (again) and it promptly dropped some after the buy. My IRA is up since Friday on the rebound by Amazon. IRA is up 10% since I took it over from Edward Jones at the very end of March.
i need to renegotiate my contract when boss returns. ----------------------- Dow up 150 points, while S&P 500 and Nasdaq push deeper into record territory Thursday Today 11:43 AM ET (MarketWatch)
