    Hi, fellows! :)
I am interested to know about the sources you use for getting accurate analyst ratings data. I would like to hear your personal stories/experience before I start using some sources/websites. I would be very appreciative. Thank you!
    All best,
    Sandra

    Hi Sandra.

I'm not certain of your question so I will answer it three ways.

There are web sites which aggregate opinion on companies. In this way, you get to see other people's outlook on a company you may be interested in or you could be introduced to a company of high regard. I can think of two but hesitate to post them, as it would be a bit disrespectful to the people who run this site.

You may be referring to sites such as TipRanks.com which track the accuracy of various analysts. Back when some loud mouthed analysts were shouting doomsday chants about Tesla, I recall looking up every analyst cited in a CNBC article on TipRanks to discover they were literally right at the bottom of analyst accuracy rankings. They may not know anything but at least they are adamant and evangelical.

Finally, you may wish to entertain the idea of finding good businesses with your own research. It's quite a bit of work but there is nothing like the confidence of knowing the companies you have a long term partnership with are working hard and making money. That money will either grow the business or distribute to the owners. Long term investors ignore stock price and pay attention to company fundamentals. It comes down to finding a company you can understand and following them with an eye on value analysis.

    Kind regards and happy investing.

Thank you for your detailed answer. You helped me a lot by providing such info. I would check Tipranks. However, I will need to do my personal research, too. Many thanks!!!! :))

For what it's worth, the people I know who do the best all do their own research. It's a lot of work that a lot of people consider drudgery but it is a wonderfully profitable pursuit.

I consider it a mistake to assume analysts and other people know more than you or I know. 99.99% of the time, that is not the case.

    Best wishes and good luck
