I'm watching the ARK funds. In just a week, SARK has gone from top to bottom of this channel. Now we're back where the month started, and at the 50 sma (SARK, QQQ, SPY). And it's end of the week, so people may liquidate into the weekend.
thanks, @anotherdevilsadvocate . i didnt do the channel thing but the bottom fell out of arkw a few months ago and it is doing a serious bounce right now. i'm up about 12%. don't think it is dead cat but time will tell.
12% is good, the bounce this week has been really strong in the ARK funds. You're in them already so you're different; buying today would be rough, because when a volatile ETF turns against you immediately you don't have room for error.
I got 40% from SQ this week, but I'll be closing end of day. Actually trailing a tight stop as it is near R2 today already. Maybe it keeps going next week, but I'd rather just watch it while I track the index. I don't need to triple my benchmarks every week. If it does indeed keep going, can just get into the general ARKW. The ARK funds legitimately moving like 3x leveraged TQQQ right now.
The bottom may be in (day the Ukraine invasion started...market is up ever since), but there may still be a pullback toward it (eg March 8 low) and it could be strong.
SPX at 4400. Gulp. Missed out. Oh well. I didn't know how to read what the impact of what the FED would do. But. .25 is pathetic. Powell is not taking the inflation problem seriously. He's mentally ill or corrupt. I can't figure out what's going on in his scheming brain. But, I believe Biden made a mistake in endorsing another 4 years for that knucklehead.
ER season has largely all but winded down here until next month, but here are next week's most anticipated for any lookin' 'round for dat. have yourself a terrific weekend ahead folks! will have the weekly market reddit thread up most likely in the AM tomo.
In my opinion, Ukraine took a lot of decision space away from the Fed. If geo-political risk wasn't what it is right now, we would've seen 50. The irony will be the pop we'll see in the market off the euphoria of Ukraine 'ending'...followed by the rout once people realize the Fed won't be constrained by 25-pointers.
@emmett kelly lol I know what you're saying. But if market is +5% next week, I'll be +5% next week. We may be getting a yield curve inversion soon. That'll freak people out and we'll see a short term dip....but this is just speculation right now.
Thank you for the feedback, I have added both LMND (Lemonade) and ARKW to my watch-list. @anotherdevilsadvocate ; I have a lot of the same sentiment. I think I may cashout Monday morning. Lock-in that +12% week and continue to practice the same strategy that has my YTD at 19.9%+
Pretty happy with this week, got some decent entries like FXI @ $27.16, CROX @ $67.71 and KEYS @ $143.99, etc. Let's see if this positive momentum can continue next week
I have got a lot of thinking to do over the weekend. HOLD or LOCK-IN Might not be a bad idea to LOCK-IN on Monday morning and then re-enter most of the same positions minus my profits. Robinhood is now offering 0.5% Interest on Uninvested Cash (used to be 0.3%). So I might take advantage of that. Much better than money sitting in a Savings account at 0.06%
