Giga Shanghai is back in operation. I don't have full detail but the model Y lines are cranking out cars at a decent rate. This situation highlights how valuable grass roots information is. Wu Wa and Jason Yang are both restricted by the quarantine. Some images are floating around on twitter but we sorely miss the fantastic reconnaissance from these two gentlemen. In 2017, when Tesla was struggling to ramp 3 production and CNBC announced that Fremont was shut down and Tesla employee cheques were bouncing, I was able to look at pics and video from Fremont showing semi loads of model 3 streaming out of the plant. I knew that, not only was the CNBC hit piece BS, but Tesla was finally making good on the production ramp. It enabled me to onboard a lot of shares with pretty good confidence. I literally owe 15% of my nest egg to these guerrilla reporters. Thank you!
LoL. To me This is Just Billionaires Messing with Other Billionaires. They are Just Doing it Publicly in this Day and Age with the Internet. To me It is Comedy and Entertainment. LoL. I Hear Mr. Gates Short Position was, is $500M. A Half of a Billion Dollars is Nothing for Him. It Won’t Affect Him, and It Won’t Effect Mr. Musk Either. I Am No Tesla or Elon Musk Fanboy. But Tesla and Mr. Musk Both Look Great Right Now. Hitting on all the Right Cylinders (EV LoL.) in their Primes. Mr. Musk and Mr. Gates are Probably Laughing and Joking in their Private Conversations. Who Knows? LoL. -IndependentCandy14
He is not wrong. Take a look outside. 4yrs ago the only EV I saw was Tesla, today I passed 3 Hyundai Ionic, 1 Mustang and an electric Mercedes which I had no idea existed: TSLA has the lead for sure, and the technology, but that does not mean they remain the only game in town.
LOL, yeah that was a timely post, but I think TSLA keeps on doing well until a "surprise" decrease in sales as other EVs start eating away at their pie. Should be by this time next year.
I saw some current video from Giga Shanghai, this morning. There wasn't a single person walking on the grounds. There wasn't a single car moving at GS or the streets surrounding. They may be partially open but it is not normal production levels.
Another thing to consider very seriously is that Tesla may not have the best battery technology for long. The first solid state battery from Toyota is coming in 2025. These are very pricey at the moment, it will take about 7-10yrs to get the price lower and into mass production, but they are superior in every way to what Tesla has at the moment. https://www.caranddriver.com/news/a38711469/toyota-solid-state-batteries-2025/
Toyota's SSB could be the bee's knees but... It's relatively easy to announce a product that is far superior to existing. The trick seems to lay between the idea and production at scale... If I had money in the game, it would be on Tesla.
True, nothing is stopping Tesla from jumping over to SSB which Im sure they are also researching at rapid speed.
I'm just reading about tremendous output from Freemont and how it will contribute to big Q2 financial numbers. I don't see how a 600K unit plant can make up for shuttering a 1M unit plant, even at 20% over designed capacity. Gotta say, Tesla looks like a short to me as we get closer to the Q2 ER.
I have huge admiration for Tesla. Tesla's secret weapon is work ethic. They work harder than anyone in any industry. While I expect their Q2 to be down, I also expect it won't be the blood bath it might have been, had they not pushed so hard to take up what slack they could. Meanwhile, some key folks in the Tesla community are citing big production numbers at Giga Texas. I suspect I've been looking at the same pics and video as they have and it looks like very early phases of a standard production ramp, to me. It could easily be they know something I don't and the numbers will be amazing at the next ER. Time will tell all.
The state with the highest ratio of EVs in America is California with 3% of car sales being EV. This suggests Tesla has a near infinite market to grow into.
Hello I have just signed up to the site and having a look through some of the posts . Here is a recent Forecast I completed for Tesla including bar chart and price curve which contains four turning dates extending out towards the end of June. May 12th could turn out to be Low which is the first date on the curve then all of the other projected dates are covered . There are three important price levels to watch *410 416 and 425 which are quite close so if we can hold above the 12th May swing Low trend should move up into point X where there are two prices indicated for top . will update over the next few days Regards Student of Gann twitter 6:26 PM · May 12, 2022·Twitter Web App View Tweet analytics 7 Likes Tweet your reply Reply Student of Gann @studentofgann Trending now
