Its all-time high was made in yesterday's pre-market at $399.50, just short of $400. It never made it back there in the regular trading hours. This and SMCI have really been outstanding this year.
This sounds almost unbelievable but back in 2011 I bought 700 shares on Optionshouse for around $10,500. I also bought 300 shares on Schwab and kind of forgot about the holdings at Optionshouse (most of which were highly speculative bets that failed). This surge prompted me to go down the rabbit hole. Logged into my Optionshouse-turned-ETtrade account and find over a million in value sitting there...
AI reports tomorrow, that thing is going parabolic. If it sputters out on their ER, then NVDA will probably pull back.
Thanks. Given my positions in AMD and INTC I'm definitely overweight this sector...will look to trim my NVDIA position by 50% EOY.
At the rate AI is taking off, there is more room, but there also need to be some pull back along the way.
Think I'm going to trim my position to 75% of its start-of-year position by the end of August, and then 50% EOY.
It's amazing how human psychology works. I'm upset over the shares that I sold instead of being happy that what I kept is now up an extra 10%+...
