I responded in the main discussion board: I am not sure where @StockJock-e has been. I got no notification he was going to be taking a break or anything. I'm not involved in any of the administration of this site, only a moderator, so I'm not aware if Gil has plans of actually taking the site offline.

WOW....I skip the open for one day....and the whole site falls apart. I have been watching the markets so far today. I just dont see much of anything to post with no economic data....no earnings...no FED BS.....and no news today. I have not checked my account but I did check one of my kids accounts.....so I know that I have six of eight stocks UP right now and a good gain happening so far. My red stocks.....COST and HD.
I posted this on the daily update thread. BUT...it seems like this site is all set up and has a core group of posters. It is ready for someone that wants to run an investing site to just step in and go. ALL the hard work is done and there is a core group of posters and readers. I dont know why the current owner would not let someone else take over. The question being...is there anyone that would want to take over the site.

Yes it appears so. lol. I guess we do kind of have a small group of regulars when you think about it. Probably, in comparison to other sites as far as active traffic. I’m not counting the bots and other things that seem to inflate the numbers. Don’t get me wrong I enjoy the site, but from some of the commentary provided by bigbear, it seems to be leaning toward more not “IF” but “WHEN”.
I think there was a bit of a dust up for a moment there in the TB16 section from what I seen. I think that was about the time he stepped out.
Wild times for sure. Any contingency plan? I'm not sure if a thread can be moved to another site but it would be nice to keep this one all together.

Let me add….I”m just passing info along as it drips in. I have no control or inside knowledge about any of it.
I have been through a move a couple of times. Back in the old days of the MSN Money Boards....we had a very active community. they closed all the boards and most of us migrated over to a new site. It was never the same after that. I know this thread alone is getting about 40,000 views a month. Add in the rest of the board and that is going to be a pretty good number. Perhaps if this board closes.....someone should start a "Stockaholics refugee" thread at....... "stocksforums.com"......and we could all take a look there to see who has checked in there and if there is a plan. I am not sure what I would do. I have been doing this thread for just about seven years now. I would probably check in at stocksforums.com and see who was there. Whether I would post every day....I dont know, it is a lot of work. I would at least post once in a while.
But I am NOT throwing in the towel here for as long as I can log in and post. SO.....I did good today.....a nice gain with only two red stocks....COST and HD. Plus I got a good beat on the SP500 by.....0.40%.
