Is anyone considering Tesla now that Elon has his pay deal? Tesla has to achieve a market capitalization of 8.5 trillion for Elon to get paid. Surely that would make them the largest company in the world. Would anyone bet against Elon achieving that? I would love to invest in Elon. I'm seriously considering selling some Apple and Amazon to buy Tesla.
Since I sold my TSLA some time back in this thread....I really dont follow them at all....other than random articles that I happen to see. I have no plans to buy anything....since I have no free money.

PRE-MARKET....I am seeing absolutely.....NOTHING....of any consequence in my reading. No fun articles, no weird articles, no long term investing articles, no crazy fear-mongering media articles, NOTHING at all of any interest to anyone reading this thread. Futures are nicely green....but there is no guarantee that futures will be real when the markets open in ten minutes. At that point I will just note how we opened and go into SLEEP mode......while the markets sort things out for the morning.
Ok....a few minutes in we open at GREEN across the board for the big averages. Time will tell if this can hold through the day. I open today with the usual mix....COST and HD red. Everything else green. I have a big gain to open....as expected with the shut down news. "Now I wait".....my motto as a long term investor. I guess if I had a coat-of-arms......this would be on it.

Looks like it may get out of the Senate and to the House. Of course, the bickering will continue, but maybe they are closer than they have been. If it makes it out of both places looks like it will have to be revisited again sometime in January. They just never learn.
Yeah, there is a lot to accomplish in that deal over a period of time. I never really liked the idea when he shifted so much focus into politics. As we have seen, that can be a slippery slope for any CEO. Seems he has maybe got back to company type stuff more so here lately. I'm not considering any company at the moment, but I wish you well in your decision and evaluation of what you may/may not do. That's not much help is it??

Of these companies, 82% have reported actual EPS above the mean EPS estimate, 3% have reported actual EPS equal to the mean EPS estimate, and 15% have reported actual EPS below the mean EPS estimate. The percentage of companies reporting EPS above the mean EPS estimate is above the 1-year average (77%), above the 5-year average (78%), and above the 10year average (75%). Historical averages reflect actual results from all 500 companies, not the actual results from the percentage of companies that have reported through this point in time. If 82% is the final number for the quarter, it will mark the largest percentage of S&P 500 companies reporting a positive EPS surprise for a quarter since Q3 2021 (also 82%). At the sector level, the Health Care (93%), Consumer Staples (93%), Information Technology (92%), and Financials (89%) sectors have the highest percentages of companies reporting earnings above estimates, while the Communication Services (62%) sector has the lowest percentage of companies reporting earnings above estimates. I have a HUGE GAIN....so far today. I just have to hang in there for the next 34 minutes. What is really nice.....I have now....so far....made back half the money that I wired this morning for my new painting....in a single day. My ......"aspirational goal".....to make back the entire cost of the painting in a single week.
