With the HUGE RALLY we have seen over the last 3 weeks I am not surprised that we are seeing a pause today. the markets are not too bad for a RED day.....but....I really dont see much hope for a green close. BUT....who knows.
There is often talk ab I went there about 10 years ago. That place makes even well-heeled people feel... poor.
Just a BORING market day today with the market in general DRIFTING down as the day has progressed. I dont see a lot of ENERGY and dont expect anything positive between now and the close. Perhaps the best we can hope for as we head to the close will be for the markets to come back some.....but...still close in the RED.
Im sorry I am not so present here, lately. Year 2026 will be an hard one, in work terms for me. We are installing a lot of new stuff in my plant. We are concluding a new unit for self consumption, elect energy, 10MWp, with solar panels that will provide us around 30% of our consumption. We are on this one for 2 years due to licencing, project aproval, location studies etc. Also concluding now the total roofs replacement at our plant, old one had asbestos, so we are removing it. A big roof, around 80.000 sq metters. And also a big chunk of money. We are also now assembling a second hand line we bought in Italy, north, a cut to lenght line for heavy gauges (up to 5" thick). A nice LEGO. During second half of 2026 I have other 4 lines to do the comissioning, these ones new, we got in Spain, that Im doing now the civil works. I like working, work can be fun, really. At a personnel level Im also doing some works at my summer house (paintings, repairs etc) in order I can use it and place it at Airbnb, Booking etc to get other source of income. If this works I will shortly look for other house. It is not the money, it is the legacy you will pass the next ones, and the possibility for you, by yourself, to help others, not so lucky. I'm surprised how much misinformation is floating around about Palantir. It's possible a few of the talking points could be true but it's more likely to be 100% nonsense. I think people are spooked by companies like Anthropic showing major products that are wildly impressive. I suspect people think Palantir's Maven will be less important given the broad autonomy on which weapons systems are able to operate. This misses the point. Maven is a management information system. The ultimate MIS, really. It assembles target information, distribute orders, and projects outcomes, among a lot of other things. The scope of Maven appears to be wildly broad. It's not going anywhere. The point of intelligent weapon systems is for them to carry out orders, even if they lose contact with other systems. If a missile or drone is jammed, it can still find it's target and disrupt. These are two different domains, despite seeming to be related. Where Palantir dominates is in strategy, pattern recognition, and surveillance. Palantir will power the surveillance state. Bet on the surveillance state. Feel free to discuss the morality of the situation but every government of every politic is acutely interested in locking down their population. That's where the money is, far more so than in smart weapons. Remember: AI will make weapons cheaper. Surveillance will make governments more powerful.
A big loss for me today. COST and AAPL my only GREEN stocks. NVDA, PLTR, and MSFT hit especially hard. I also lost out to the SP500 today in my stocks by.....0.95%
I completely agree. The more we get into AI and robots.....the more we will ALL be living in a POLICE STATE. But in the meantime....I may as well make money from all the companies in that universe.

Indeed. I have read a few very interesting pieces regarding some of its ability and how the military has used it versus the way they used to do some things. It is astonishing to say the least. Warfare is changing dramatically and at a speed we have not seen before I think. Keeping in mind, these are just a few of the things we can readily research and learn about. It is likely much, much more sophisticated than we could begin to imagine. Amazing and a bit spooky to think about. The genie is out of the bottle so to speak. Nations cannot just refuse to join this race.
