Since we don't upload actual files to this site like word docs, spreadsheets and PDF files, I'd often times like to share some of this stuff. I want to use my OneDrive to accomplish this but also want to make sure I am not "oversharing" all of my documents on One Drive. So if you have a few minutes please test the following links for me and tell me what the behavior is for you. Can you edit any of these files? Also, can you get into any folders outside of the folder named Stockaholics? OneDrive link to Stockaholics folder This link should get you to the actual folder with 4 documents showing. The three below plus one other Spreadsheet This link should take you straight to the spreadsheet. Can you edit it? Word Doc This link should go straight to a Word Document. Can you edit it? PDF File This link is to a PDF file. I expect anyone can save a copy of any of these files I am sharing to their own one drive and once that is done they could edit away. These are all broken links, but you can easily check them yourself by opening a browser window in Incognito mode in Chrome or New Private Window in firefox and click the links yourself.
I know I can check the links myself, but my main concern is the permissions on One Drive and that they behave the way I expect them to. Best way to do that is confirm from a few users that have nothing to do with my workstation and hidden cookies that might distort how things behave. Not that I keep super secret personal stuff on OneDrive anyway, but good to know that if I did...
