Still looking good as the markets have pulled back. This a high volume morning and the markets need to come back and crash through that 7.80 wall
With markets in a semi-meltdown, I like the way AMD is holding .12 below the HOD. Any decent market bounce could move it near the 7.80 and take it out on and revisit the $8 level. If no market bounce then Cya next week.
It is not really out of line from what I have been reading. With the techs on ZEN and a already good relationship with Apple I expect them to be under the hood on many of their products. Some of that is not exactly rumors
Another reply to to rumor provided by leonx81> Worth the read MacBook Pro 2016 Release Date Happening Soon with Skylake, AMD Polaris GPU and Intel Integrated Graphics? http://en.yibada.com/articles/15492...polaris-gpu-and-intel-integrated-graphics.htm
It appears the shorts are making their move this morning even as I have seen sizable trades go through at the ask
I was away from the computer most of the day but I am sure the drop was because of short interest. I had seen where there were some Sep 30th $7 puts bought this morning. I had a bid in myself on the same puts but for a lower price as I thought AMD might go a little higher before the pull back. It is the same ole scenario, wash, rinse, repeat
Now a into a 2 day pullback and on even lower volume than yesterday AMD is getting closer to the bounce point but not quite there yet. This has not been as drastic as other pull backs but you never know when the shorts may step up their game. Orlando graphics engineers play key role in AMD's rising star AMD has been making the trade show circuit this month, showing off Zen, a computer processor meant to challenge Intel's most-powerful products. At the same time, the PC component market research firm Mercury Research reported Aug. 22 that the company now claims about 12.3 percent of the graphics processor market, up from 11.8 percent the prior quarter. That was the first jump since the first quarter of 2012, when Intel started a run to practically corner the processor market. Richard Terrell, a virtual reality developer in Orlando who has worked in simulation and gaming more than 10 years, said AMD's new graphics processors enhance its ability to compete in virtual reality. "This is one of the key things that puts them in a good position for the next generation of VR technology that is about to hit us," Terrell said. "Looking at the history of AMD, the company is well suited for it. Intel hasn't had this kind of competition in a while." http://www.orlandosentinel.com/business/os-amd-stock-processors-20160824-story.html

Down in AH I can't say with certainty the amended agreement is the reason for the drop in AH but most likely it had something to do with it. I was wondering if the gap would get filled and it did in AH as it had a low of 6.81. Tomorrow could be a good time to get some calls if there is a follow through
Looks likes the shorts created their own bull trap. Now as the markets are melting down, AMD holding up decently
Good recovery from the opening lows, it ran to yesterdays closing range, so at least there are buyers down here.
