If the markets turn I think there is a fair chance of a run today. The pre market pop was on 2 million shares so the interest is back and coincides with the big accumulation yesterday I bought the OCT 21 $7 calls when the price was around 5.84
Sony 'Pleasantly Surprised' by Strong PS4 Pro Pre-Orders We suppose that the reaction to the PlayStation 4 Pro could be described as mixed, but its sales seem to be off to a decent start. It's dominated the best sellers list on Amazon for some time now, and we've heard from a couple of retail sources that pre-orders are looking decent in both the UK and in the US. And now Sony has chipped in on the device's early numbers. "I've been told, just before we had this conversation, that pre-orders in the UK are looking pretty good," Sony Europe chief Jim Ryan told trade magazine MCV. "I can't give you the numbers yet, but I'm pleasantly surprised." The executive added that the platform holder will have a "significant amount of stock" at launch and through the holidays. Interesting trading the last two days as AMD made a small pop to come down to what appears to be accumulation. As this was on a up and down day that averages to neutral ground. We have seen the accumulation a number of times in the past but we need a few more days of trading for a confirmation. From the INTC forecast they said they are seeing some signs of improving PC demand. That may have created one of the pop's or behind the scenes in FreeSync TV as @leonx81 posted.
I think a key element of that is "The firm is reflecting the recent debt and equity financing, noting multiple catalysts ahead and that the Street has not fully caught on here"
I normally don't post much from Zack's but it is ironic they have went from a sell to a buy. Off the highs for a decent close AMD and did not go negative when the markets went red is a good sign. The shorts are still out spreading misconceptions as usual. The chart is shoring up some but a long ways to go to the upper BB. I do see a few gaps that look ripe to fill in the near term. 2016 iMac To Sport AMD 400 Series GPU To Support VR Capability 2016 iMac VR And AR Technology The speculation that the 2016 iMac will be integrated with AR and VR technology might be partially true. Apparently, the iMac 2016 is going to be supplied with graphic cards from AMD. That being said, there is a possibility that the VR technology might still come true as it was revealed in the past that AMD's Polaris graphic cards have the ability to run VR technology. 2016 iMac fans know that the most recent iMac graphic cards are not powerful enough to run VR Tech, according to Macworld.co.uk. As Bernstein has been a negative nancy on AMD, I see this as a positive them coming off Underperform even though their target price is undervalued. No big day so far as AMD had a small pop to drop from it's highs as it is in sync with the market. Advanced Micro Devices Inc. (NASDAQ: AMD) may have received a lot of new cash from a capital raise, and now analysts have started getting back on the AMD wagon after a sharp pullback. This may not sound like a big Buy rating here, but it removes the equivalent of one more Sell rating. AMD shares were raised to Market Perform from Underperform at Bernstein, and the firm raised its target price to $5 from $3 in the call. The shares were last seen flat at $6.16, but this was a day after Jefferies reiterated its $9 price target. http://247wallst.com/investing/2016/09/20/5-unusual-analyst-upgrades-from-this-tuesday/
Hulu is planning two VR-only shows The news and comedy shows will be its first exclusive VR conte Hulu's original programming ambitions are well-known at this point, but the company has a plan for a pair of new shows that's both totally expected as well as somewhat unusual. According to Variety, Hulu will stream two new shows made specifically with virtual reality in mind from Huffington Post's RYOT Studios. The Big Picture: News in Virtual Reality will be a daily news program and Virtually Mike and Nora will be a comedy featuring Nora Kirkpatrick (The Office, Greek) and Mike O'Brien. Right now, Hulu has committed to five episodes for the comedy and 10 episodes of the news program, though there's no word yet on when they'll start airing. Both programs will be exclusively available in VR; there's no plan to make them available as 360-degree videos you watch over the web. The Big Picture: News in Virtual Reality will air every two weeks, with three segments in each episode picked out specifically because they'll work well in VR. Virtually Mike and Nora will similarly use VR to pull viewers into the world. "I think we've come up with a way to break down the wall between performer and audience member, and explore comedy in 360 degrees," Kirkpatrick told Variety. How Hulu will measure the success of these shows is unclear yet -- it's been almost a year since Samsung's Gear VR launched alongside a Hulu VR app, but the number of people with VR headsets still has to be significantly smaller than the company's total subscriber base. It is nice to see AMD moving up in a down market. The chart is start to look very good. AMD Announces Early Results of Cash Tender Offers and Consent http://www.marketwatch.com/story/am...-tender-offers-and-consent-2016-09-23-8160114
So I read it and tried to understand it but fml. Care to explain as simple as possible what this news means? I guess it's good because of the little spike we got going right now
