I don't think the FED will raise rates until the market tells them to raise, which like now looks.like December. Although I am sure that will change as we get closer to December. I'm going all cash ahead of this announcement. If they do raise, I will go short with everything I have.
If no hike it gets down to whether the language is Hawkish or Dovish. Consensus has been no hike but financials have still been creeping up possibly on the prospect of good language from the meeting. With that the market does not always move as expected...Good luck to all...TTT
i think her language will be more important than the decision, i still think they dont go, but whether she is hawkish or not will be huge.
predicable. they would have set us up better like last year when they kept on hinting that they would raise. plus the election is right around the corner, of course they wont admit it though.
TLT and T popped as well, all the usual trades working again...for today. cant rejoice yet, got to see how the week ends to see if these moves are legit here to stay. or if "from false moves come fast moves" to other side.
Will have to see what Aunt Yellen has to say but nothing Hawkish yet as financials are being pressured. A political decision IMO
she sounds hawkish, but at the same time she is cautious. while things are getting better, they are still taking a "wait and see approach".
From 4 to 2, then 2 to 1, and most liklely from 1 to none. What a joke. Even though markets initially moved down on divided FED, I doubt it will last. Market has the green light to party until December when we get to do this all over again, and again, and again. Of course fundamentals could send the market lower, yeah right. 3 months is along time for at least one economic report to throw the stars out if alignment and change that 1 to none.
According to the dot plot, the FED is projecting 1 hike this year and 2 hikes next year, looks pretty dovish to me
NUGT, TWLO, OPK, and T all moving strong here. they are buying the market even more after the yellen press conference.
Aunt Yellen was asked if the decision was political and she said no...yada yada Obama is the one that nominated her...Do we bite the hand that feeds us? Any way the market is taking the decision well as even financials are up with the market rally
