Good start to the game. 1 run in the 1st makes 1 more run than they scored all of last night.

If there's one thing I have greatly disagreed with that Maddon did, it's putting Schwarber in at the 5th spot. He hasn't played all year, and you stick him in at 5 when you have Baez, Contreras, and Addison Russell all playing very well. Schwarber struck out with the bases loaded in the 7th last night, and struck out with Rizzo on 2nd base in the 1st tonight.

This isn't results-oriented either, I told plenty of people that if he wanted Schwarber in, he should have bat somewhere between 7th and 9th depending on who was catching that night. With Ross last night, the order should have been Fowler, Bryant, Rizzo, Zobrist, Baez, Russell, Schwarber, Ross, Coghlan.

Might not have made a difference, but batting a guy who hasn't played all year over a few guys who have been batting tremendously well just confuses the shit out of me.

Well, Schwarber just got a base hit for an RBI in the 3rd. Maybe I spoke too soon (though Baez may have scored us some runs last night or in the 1st as well today).

Got the split in Cleveland! Now heading to Wrigley for the next 3 where the Cubs could potentially play for a WS title clincher on home field for Game 5 ... providing they take care of business in Game 3 and 4. But, seriously, how flipping awesome would it be to have the Cubs play the clincher at home? Either way, if it's in Wrigley or Cleveland it will still be equally amazing given that we haven't seen the Cubs hoist the commissioner's trophy in 108 years.

Don't like getting ahead of myself here so we'll just have to wait to see what happens in Game 3 on Friday night! Nice to get the split in Cleveland though!

Game 3 tonight in Wrigleyville! First WS game there since 1945 ... this is going to be a treat to watch!

Game 3 was a hard fought game for sure. Indians bullpen is very deep and they definitely aren't scared to use it at will. Lots of close plays that called for replays, many lost opportunities on both sides, etc. I have to agree that I think the 2 best teams this year made it to the big show and are giving us baseball fans a quality series thus far. I look forward to a roller coaster ride the rest of the weekend, lord knows we all need a break from the wild world of the stock market. Enjoy the weekend all, Monday and the madness will be upon us before we know it. What the heck am I talking about, I'm still trying to figure out why I woke up at 2 a.m. and going to be cutting firewood all day today when it's supposed to be in the 70's for another week or so here in the KY state.

Painful game to watch as a Cubs fan, especially knowing we're going up against Kluber tonight. While he is on short rest, he had a nice long break between series, unlike when we faced Kershaw on short rest. Hoping we can pull out a win tonight, because winning 3 in a row with 2 being on the road will be very difficult against the 2nd best team in baseball ;)

Whelp, there goes my wish of seeing the Cubs potentially playing for a WS championship clincher at Wrigley (Game 5) ... it's all good so it looks like it will have to be done in Cleveland instead. :D

Cubs down 2-1 in a playoff series again eh? No problemo.

Although the Tribe are a much different team than the Dodgers -- hence they were the 2nd best team in the majors all year (the Tribe that is) ... I would be shocked if the Cubs bats put up a goose egg on the scoreboard tonight. Yes, they're going up against Kluber ... but I still think we'll see some runs tonight ... we shall see.

No doubt it will be a tough row to hoe should the Cubs lose tonight and have to be faced with winning 3 in a row (with 2 of those in Cleveland...) but as crazy as this might sound I actually think they'll be fine ... if there's any team that could pull that off in the big spot light in the Fall Classic here -- it's the 2016 Cubs IMHO.

But, let's hope it doesn't have to get to that point and the Cubs take care of business tonight.

Not being a true fan of either team I'll have to say that I'm really loving this series thus far. It's been a lot of fun to watch. Really looking forward to these next 2 games!

Whelp, this kinda sux and admittedly it is bringing back memories of last year's NLCS against the Mets when the bats just went cold at the wrong time (credit the Tribe pitching though -- they have been amazing!) ... however that being all said and as crazy as this may seem I am still thinking the Cubs can pull this off. But, man they need to take this one game at a time... They can't win it all in one game here, obviously...

I think Lester will pitch a masterful game for the Cubs tonight, and then hopefully the bats give him some run support and force a Game 6 back in Cleveland where I actually like the Cubs chances a lot. But, let's get to that Game 6 first! If not, then we're right back to square one again, and we'll be preaching "better luck next season" which Cubs fans have been saying for 108 years lol (j/k)... Albeit I think this young Cubs team has a lot of potential going for it in the years to come, and I do think they will be back at it again here in the Fall Classic ... but man, I really would have loved to see them get this freaking monkey goat off their backs once and for all... Personally I am sick and tired of hearing about it. Yes, I realize technically this so-called "curse" has been broken as they finally made it to the World Series since that infamous 1945 curse ... but c'mon man ... one hundred and freakin' eight years ... Cubs fans deserve a WS title once and for all ........... *ahem*

Whelp, if it doesn't happen this year, hopefully they'll be back at it next year and the years to come ... or at least one can hope :)

But hey, it ain't over 'till the fat ass lady sings right? lol ... kind of like this year's election IMO. Everyone and their cousins are thinking it's already over. But, in reality we all know it's really not! So, just saying ... let's get it together Cubs!!!

Let's see what happens tonight. Best of luck to them. Here's to hoping they force a Game 6 back in Cleveland! I would hate to see the Tribe celebrating a WS championship on the Cubs home field!

I said all along when the Reds brought Chapman up to let him pitch more than one inning. He kept the Cubs in it for sure last night. I hope this thing goes 7 games. Hopefully Arrieta will bring them some game Tuesday night in Cleveland.

Whelp IDK 'bout y'all but I am personally REALLY liking the Cubs chances here in these next 2 games ... yes I realize the Tribe will be playing in front of their home fans ... and yes they will likely have to face Kluber in a potential Game 7 scenario ... but I do like the fact that Schwarber will be coming to bat now that we're in the A.L. park and the DH position can be used for the remainder of this series ... plus I really feel Arietta is going to pitch a gem tomorrow night, and then it's winner takes all game and I'm reeeeeeaaaaaaallllllly liking Hendricks in that situation! We shall see.

And yes, kudos to Chapman last night! IDK if the Cubs could have pulled it off w/o his late innings save there! That was a beauty man.

Whoever the winner is, it would be a nice story. I think I want the Indians to win slightly more, sorry @Cy McCaffrey and @T0rm3nted

You are dead to me. HAHA just kidding. Hell of a game last night, and can't wait to watch the next two nights. I say next two, because they're going to take it to 7!

Yeah a great game last night indeed. The TV ratings for that game beat Sunday Night Football too

They really need to find a way to shorten these games though. If the Cubs weren't in the world series, I'm sure the ratings would be a lot lower, and they need to do something to get more people watching. Hard to commit 3.5-4 hours every night to watch a baseball game.

I agree with all that @T0rm3nted ... these games are way too long sometimes ... it would be cool if they can find a way to shorten them

Whelp, Game 6 is tonight! I know I said this once before but I'll say it again -- I am feeling amazingly confident about the Cubs chances here. Let's see how that goes. Here's to hoping they will force a Game 7 tomorrow night! They didn't extend this series back to Cleveland for nothing! This is when $hit gets real! Can't wait.
