yea that was pretty crazy there ... i have a hunch that we're gonna be seeing some similar shenanigans playing out in other markets as we come up to this dreaded nov. 8th date
couple of interesting bit of stats (if they hold at the close) here- according to ryan detrick of lpl financial the cash spx hasn't been down all five days of a week since may 2012. (could happen today). last 2 times cash spx in november closed under the monthly low close in oct were 2000 and 2007. it needs to get back above 2126 to avoid this. and lastly (this one is pretty amazing imo)... the vix winning streak of 9 days would be a new record (it would need to close green today for the record!)

now i'm wondering if we can break the record (or at least tie) for the longest spx losing streak next week ... i'm thinking it's very possible with the election coming up edit: and there's the bell! we've done it! this is now the longest losing streak since 1980!
although this is marking the longest losing streak for the cash s&p since 1980 today ... amazingly we've still yet to see a move of -1% on this streak ... and get this ... cash spx is off just -5% from the all-time high lol ....
Yep lol to be honest not feeling like a sell off all that much, maybe it works in the favor of keeping this losing streak going since we don't really have any washout
