I think we'll be seeing plenty of liquidity, more typical of this time of year now that the election is over. More chance now for the bio tech sector to recover now that the uncertainty of a Clinton administration has been removed. Volatility for the next couple weeks but I think we'll still see a decent bounce into mid December.

Brexit came to my mind today as well considering how the polls were running to stay yet the people voted to exit. Same with our polls Clinton was looking to win yet there was quite the upset to have a Trump win.

My Spanish is very rusty so forgive me for writing in English. :)

In fact Hilary has proven a mediocre and terrible politician, a total disaster, having all the personalities, media and institutions on her side, how could she miss this opportunity? Is not just the voters to blame. I never saw an election with so much voice for one side, not even in the brexit, and she did not take advantage to surf that wave to beat a populist (to say the least).

I agree on the volatility, not that much in the surge of mid-december...but let's see.

Very well said Aldo. Throwing money around doesn't always win, though I didn't vote for her it was looking like she'd take it until the poll #'s started coming in. Agree for the possible stale December. We may just be getting started on the volatility that we usually see during the summer months.

Cheap today, more expensive Friday, however, banks have been starting to bet on a Clinton win so we could still see more of a sell off next week considering some of the support levels have been/ will be challenged and possibly broken. I was cautious with my retirement staying in cash but did regret not putting some in play last Friday. But I was on the road and not watching. Best of luck. Watch the IBB & XBI for recovery imo. Certainly has been like playing the lottery!

I understand you are American, Jim, aren't you? Can you tell us about the reactions for Trump's victory? I don't mean in the stock market, but what's the feeling on the streets? Are people afraid, running away or something :p?

Totally agree with you and risky, it was a lottery and if I played it was because I left my short positions open on Fri well green, thinking that Mon would not be that "bad" with some volatility....missing the fact that market usually overreacts. So I felt forced to play my hand and assume a bigger loss; however it was really freaking, I must admit, lesson learned, as I was "uncommonly loaded".

Risky, from my side I can tell you that my american colleagues are in between ashamed and freaked out, most left work, but a couple of Trump supporters are as smiley as it gets.

Yes, I'm American and in the US. Most realistic, educated were amazed Trump made it as far as he did. Uncertainty is not a good thing for the markets but imo Trump has two sides to his personality. I saw him in his early days with his dealing with the wrestling industry and later on some of his networks on TV. He really is about business, even if he doesn't do everything right. I'm thinking we'll start seeing the serious side and with the proper advisors he'll do well. And he'll have the majority of republicans over the democrats to make things happen. We haven't had that for quite some time.

edited: The more and more I think about it, people just want change and from someone who wasn't brainwashed in Washington politics.. Myself and others certainly didn't want Clinton.
