Trump vs. Elon: Who Will Win? Never thought about this one til today. Seems the Washington Post however was on to this story right after the election: https://www.washingtonpost.com/news...ould-be-a-big-setback-to-tesla-and-elon-musk/ Then the Trump rumor mill went and did this: http://www.autoblog.com/2016/11/22/trump-potential-press-secretary-attacks-elon-musk/ Elon says Trump reflects poorly on the US! As with all things Trump, I'm getting out my popcorn here.
Tesla Motors Inc has won the right to open and operate its own dealership in Richmond, Virginia. The low-priced electric car will be a big boost for Tesla Stock.
Tesla stock is on the edge of a deep breakdown. Shares of Tesla (TSLA) are near a tipping point. The stock has been under pressure all week and, as Thursday came to a close, a deep breakdown appears to be just ahead. Tesla fell nearly 4% on Thursday on accelerating trade stretching the drop from Monday's high to nearly 10%. If the current selling pressure continues over the next few sessions, the stock will undercut key support.
If Tesla does drop, I hope it doesn't drop below $150. I've got a ratio spread on and my break even is $150.
The price hit almost the buy point for the swing trade $188.98 and still in play. If shorts fail to defend $190 area buyers will come
Tesla Motors, Inc. Jumps On Positive Comments From Analyst; Investors Beware http://smartstocknews.com/28692-tes...itive-comments-from-analyst-investors-beware/
"In a report on Monday, Trip Chowdry of Global Equities Research claimed Tesla should breeze past a stiff fourth quarter deliveries goal of 25,000 vehicles based solely on the conclusion that demand for Tesla’s vehicles (the Model S sedan and the Model X crossover SUV) continues to outstrip production. For the record, ‘Demand outstripping constrained production’ has in the past been a major reason cited by the company for missed delivery goals. Trip Chowdhry said he expected the mix of Model S and Model X sales in the fourth quarter to be fairly even and emphasized on stronger average selling prices (ASPs). He estimated that about 90% of Model S shipments had the glass roof option while 60% were sold with the Autopilot 2.0 upgrade – likely propelling ASPs for the company higher in the fourth quarter. He also said activity on Tesla’s delivery truck – teased by the corporation earlier this year – “seemed more than two times vs. last year’ – further exciting investors of perhaps a surprise launch of a delivery truck by Tesla shortly." Delivery truck hype!
As someone who works in the auto-manufacturing industry, and like I said at the very beginning of this thread months and months ago, they are going to fall short of their delivery goals, because when a company says what they are "capable of producing", that's assuming no hiccups. Opening new plants will never go smooth and they've done that before the launch of the Model S. This ignores the fact that when a company has a build count that they need to hit every shift, and every day, they tend to ship small defects that were discovered somewhere in the plant because they "need to hit build". I haven't researched the quality of the tesla over the last year, but I'd imagine it will go down since they launched the Model S.
No clear winner yesterday. The price stayed within the gray zone between the two camps but the bears so far maintained the upper hand.
Overall the trend is broken and bears remain in the control, I see a night fight coming above $195. Shorts can get another selling O
No clear winner yesterday. Bulls failed to push above $195 so the Bears to push below $90. The price at the gray area though Bears upper H
