I plan to take some off the table if we can see around $14.50ish. Coming up on resistance and overbought. The BB's opened up a bit, so we could still have some room to run, but can never go wrong taking some profit. I'll post if I take any off the table.
AMD Ryzen Goes Preorder Today + Die Shot + Info and Event Demo Benchmark Videos http://www.guru3d.com/news-story/amd-ryzen-goes-preorder-today-info-and-event-benchmark-videos.html
Interesting to see AMD was mentioned on The Verge. AMD's new Ryzen processor is a huge leap forward and a true competitor to Intel http://www.theverge.com/circuitbrea...md-ryzen-7-desktop-processor-intel-competitor AMD’s Ryzen 7 1800X Breaks Benchmark World Record https://www.lowyat.net/2017/125308/amds-ryzen-7-1800x-breaks-benchmark-world-record/ Gonna pick up one 1800X but it is OOG on Newegg and Amazon:
I think Ryzen is pretty much priced in now. The next big piece of news will hopefully be a deal with Intel next month.
Mark you calendar and save the date: https://www.reddit.com/r/Amd/comments/5vl431/its_happening_amd_cpu_division_will_host_an_ama/
That's why I'm thinking sell the news, if this keeps going up. But we'll see if other news also comes in.
If Ryzen lives up to the hype, then it will result in great earnings, I'm guessing it'll go up to 18-20. And then there's Vega, too.
Looks like Intel is slashing a lot of their prices to try to compete with AMD. Looks like competition is back, and that's good for PC builders.
Finally did what I've said I might do countless times now and sold about 1/4 of my position. On dips, I've added so much onto this play that it's still much larger than I usually invest in anything at one time. This just got me back down closer to my normal amount. Sold at $14.67 from an average holding price of $8.85. Saw this as resistance and figured this would be a decent place to take some off the table.
Take this with a grain of salt, I'm not sure if it's true, but just saw 2 interesting posts on StockTwits.
Same here, just sold my calls for some gain seeing that resistant. I believe it will continue to go up once ryzen has been officially bench mark. But my believes has often been wrong. So taking profit when I see it
My average holding price is almost the same as yours. Not planning to sell my shares as it is a small position. I am fortunate enough to follow TTT since the early 2016. Looking back my first call option was APR 22 2016 $2.50C and currently still holding some APR and JUL profitable calls. Any words from TTT on when he will be back?
Congrats on the gains! In regards to TTT, he gave no timeframe on when he'd be back, or if he'd be back. Hopefully he'll make his return soon, as his departure has really hurt around here.
