There are several ways to do this. You can use feedly and setup news channels, business feeds from Reuter's, Bloomber, and CNBC etc. You can use Twitter (my favorite). If you are active in twitter with personal use then create a second login to use for news. When logged in on that account search for and follow all the major news sources you want. You will get an actively updating news stream. Also, check your broker for what they might offer. I'm with TD so I can open Think or Swim and on my Tools tab there is a video option. I can detach that window and turn on either CNBC or Reuter's live. TOS also has live chat rooms and one of the channels is Global News. I can also watch a news stream from Trade Architect or the web platform. Your broker should have some sort of way to get current news feeds.
