I know I said this on today's daily challenge thread, but it looks to me like we're probably going to be in a bit of a holding pattern here until at least Friday's NFP's, but really probably up until next week's FOMC meeting announcement. Not really seeing any major moves in either direction until then, of course barring any crazy black swan events. Looks like we'll make it to the century mark on the consecutive days w/o a -1% daily close on the SPX today. I'll have to check the stats again, but I believe another 10 days w/o a -1% daily close on the SPX would make this streak the longest since the 1970s.

The market might be starting to get a little nervous about the FED. A rate hike next week is probably priced in, but the market could run into a trouble if the FED indicates that they want to hike 4 times rather than just 2 or 3 times this year
This down move has been healthy for my account. Today I just missed a disaster. I bought back my /ES futures at 2369.00. I went long at 2368. I sold those at 2371 and went short again at 2370.25. Almost didn't go short again. That would have been upsetting.
Trump talked about tax cut again right before the closing bell I think, but not really seeing the positive reaction AH.

Choppity chop chop. Can we get to next Wednesday already? lol Although, now that I think about it, does anyone think a 0.25% raise is already baked into the cake here? I guess what the markets will be keying off of will how many future raises from here. I guess 2-3 is already priced in at this point? But, anything more might get things moving? Anyway, nothing bearish to see here imo. Markets perfectly fine finding acceptance at these levels. After last week's face ripping rally, it's only normal to see a pause in the action.
Nice call Cy with the chop. Cybersecurity stocks doing good: ones that were struggling are up and may have stopped the bleeding (PANW, CYBR, QLYS). Still think CHKP is the best one, but just noticed FTNT too. And FEYE remains garbage.
Still some earnings going here. But obviously the list of familiar names are dwindling down in a big way as earnings season winds down. yeah, i'm from the old board. My wife got a job at one of the securities regulators so my trading activities are really restricted nowadays. I still trades but on a very limited basis.
