I know alot of people on Stockaholics has killed this AMD move which is AWESOME. I just wanted to post something to bring everyone's thoughts and from a contrarian standpoint. Am I trying to short this? No I am not. Am I trying to long this? No I am not. I am actually better at futures and currency more than stocks to be honest. However pulling up this chart from a weekly standpoint this is what I see. A capitulation weekly reversal high. And then this week you have the test. If AMD does not make new highs here and the Weekly RSI trendline breaks I advise you get out of the way and take the winnings. You can always buy back if it goes through 15 which is peanuts compared to the bulk of this move. Food for thought.
If the smart money was re-accumulating I don't think they'd be in such a hurry to move it higher.....and it didn't close well. I think they may be taking advantage of the weak shorts and distributing their inventory. Time will tell.
Red day, S&P selloff still happening (although it's more panic selloff at this point). Stop losses will be triggered. Can't wait to see what happens after the fed meeting, could be a great entry point. I understand if AMD needs a few months to cool down however (the general upward slope has been well over 45° for quite some time)

What AMD needs to do is release pre-order numbers on the Ryzen 5 if they are good it would make the stock pop.
I don't think it's available for preorder yet. If it was, I'd be on it. My decade old iMac can't handle multiple charts being open at once in TOS
Don't ignore your RAM. That plays more of a part in resources then the processor in terms of opening up multiple charts. That's getting off topic but just wanted to throw that in.
Yep, that was another limitation on it (I'll have 16gb on the new build)..the whole thing is a limitation. When the newest release of OS X can't run on it, that's a signal its time to move on. I am looking forward to see how the multi threading works in photoshop.
