^^ probably ... that confidence # we got this morning was off the charts ... one of the largest beats to expectations since 1999 i think i need to dig up that consumer sentiment vs. the spx chart again i thought that was very telling ... each time sentiment hit a new high the markets followed up with a new high and vice versa end of month & quarter is on friday ... still could go for a green monthly close which would make it 5 up months in a row

I have to question the way they get this consumer confidence index. The CCI is calculated from a research organization that contacts 5000 households. They call up Aunt Gertrude on the houseline and ask what her feelings and expectations are going forward. How accurate is this? How open to manipulation is this? Meaning, do they influence the answer by asking a loaded question? Eg "How incredibly excited are you about the amazing strength of our economy this year?" Anybody here have the finer details on how this information is gathered?

I was expecting banks to take a hit following the health care bill mayhem... Seems like markets are still expecting trump to revoke the Dodd-Frank without any problems... odd.
I took an RH trade last night. Was taking a lot of heat overnight but got up this morning and got out for a small loss.

LULU down big after earnings I was a little busy and couldn't really find anything to trade on I wonder if we will see a choppy market rest of the week, really not much catalyst until maybe the jobs report next week or the earnings season starting in about 2 weeks. Not really seeing any high profile profit warning so far, I assume it is a pretty good sign for the Q1 earnings
