That seems to be the theme this earnings season. Anything food and nutrition related has been taken down. Everything from MCD, CPB, KO, CMG, MJN, etc have been sold into and after earnings. There are some exceptions like PNRA, though. I don't know if this is an isolated event were money is rotating of the group or part of a coordinated effort to breakdown the sector similar to what we got in retail or cybersecurity last year.
They got real good fries, actually the only ones I eat without a pool of ketchup. I got a spot in my heart for Jack In The Box curly fries and onion rings, among others. But simply fries, McDonald's got some magic in there. By magic I mean beef flavoring.
Arby's has the better fry out of any fast food chain. Very similar to JACK. PNRA, JACK and BWLD are one of the few restaurant stocks to actually buck the trend with the broader markets. May be worth taking a second look on any pullback. JACK stands out the most. On MCD, needs to reclaim and hold $120 to avoid further downside near term. Needs time.
I still like the name but it needs to hold $113.88 and trade above $118 or runs the risk of trading back into the mid 90sf for a potential H&S on the weekly.

3 Reasons Q4 Made McDonald's A Hold http://seekingalpha.com/article/4040654-3-reasons-q4-made-mcdonalds-hold
The main issue I have with McD is that there's too much good food around to spend money on their stuff.
Yes their food quality could use some attention. And how can we forget what they did to the Hamburglar?
They turned him into a bearded hipster for chrissakes. This "company" (scare quotes intended) is just a bunch of copycats. Now they're finally going to use fresh beef in their quarter pounders, like any good burger company has been doing. But the thing is it's only in the quarter pounders? They only started all-day breakfast after Jack in the Box had been doing it for close to a decade. But oh, you can't get all-day burgers, at an alleged burger company! If it wasn't for good burger companies keeping these guys in check, they'd be shoveling straight shit down your throats for $1.49. I think they should shave the Hamburglar's beard and sprinkle the hairs on their shit Macs, and their fans wouldn't be able to tell the difference.
(MCD) share prices surged further into record territory Tuesday, thanks to a stronger-than-expected first quarter performance that got a boost from a new variety of Big Macs and discounted beverages. I am partially responsible for the surge in earnings. My kids seem to consume large amounts of these happy meals when ever we are on the road.
