My guess. No confirmation of an Intel-AMD IP license deal. No consumer Vega launch in Q2 as previously announced? They seemed to dodge the one analysts question who asked when it would be released at the end of the event. No showing of Vega specs. Went into the event knowing nothing. Came out only knowing now that R9 is real.
http://www.barrons.com/articles/intel-refutes-rumor-of-licensing-amd-graphics-technology-1495064908 That Fudzilla author should be in jail for that article with no source saying DONE DEAL. It popped up in my Fidelity and TDameritrade news feeds. That's some dirty manipulation right there. SEC comes a knockin!
agreed!butyouknowlotsofcrookso nwallstre 1st Vega Card to be release June 5th Not all of them they will be released in a progressive order.
Agreed, To much of this stuff goes on, I am betting that there getting kick backs from Like Goldman who knew what it would do to the stock the next day if the deal was not talked about or not true, since they are the biggest shorter of the stock and have deep pockets. Lots of crooks on wall street. AMD new products are revolutionary Intel and NVIDA have nothing to match it right now.. What they showed at the analysis convention was epic! But most non tech will not even know or understand it. The demos showed the Vega card beating Nvidia's new 1080 Ti (Flagship card). The AMD Frontier Vega FRONTIER Edition is to be released first. The frontier Edition is targeted for pro graphics workloads. Gaming versions released at later date. Specs on the new card ... Compute units 64 Single Precision (FP32) = 13 TFLOPS Half Precision (FP 16) = 25 TFLOPS Pixel = 90 Gpixels Memory Capacity 16 GB of HIGH Bandwidth Cache Memory Bandwidth - 480 GB Demo showed that it was beating Nvidia flagship card. Now one thing people don't get is that most test that have been done on Ryzen and or even Vega have been done with OLD software, NOT optimized for AMD new architectures As time goes on games and applications will have code added to there software for the new AMD architectures, Then we will see the true potential of the new AMD Chips. I watched the whole presentation and AMD has explained all their plans at all levels, it shows that AMD multi-prong CPU, GPU, APU hardware business will out compete Intel and will give a good run for the money to NVIDIA..Won't be surprise that AMD will be over $100.00 in a 2 years time frame.. So much hardware power on all levels.. CPU, GPU, APU, servers, AI, computing embedded, gaming, etc.. while all their competitors potential TAMS is 1/2 of that of AMD..
Another if you don't believe Barrons for some reason.... http://www.cnbc.com/2017/05/18/the-...ock-amd-this-week-turns-out-to-be-untrue.html
Miners love AMD GPUs, especially RX480 and RX580, OOG everywhere. I am still holding all of my shares and calls.
