I think we have one more high in this market and then we will finally see a 5% correction. Which sounds weird, because 5% isn't really that much. But since we haven't seen one this year, I'm thinking it's coming in the next month or two.
I am debating with myself whether I should sell a put spread for Googl's ER tonight or buy a atm call & sell a covered
At this point, correcting will just take us back to the uptrend here. It may seem like a lot, but its well within this bigger uptrend!
GOOGL having a pretty nice run into the close and into their earnings AH, if its report is good we could continue to see those FANG stocks making new highs
Just looked at the quote, down 3% AH, so looks like it probably missed. Nevermind, it actually beat. Not sure why it's down:
Alphabet beats revenue forecast, but warns about rising costs https://www.reuters.com/article/us-alphabet-results-idUSKBN1A92GZ Seems like they are blaming the rising costs.
amd up 8% AH, i dont have the numbers yet, but its clearly a beat from that reaction, congrats to us longs in amd!
Yields moved up pretty big today before the FOMC meeting tomorrow, but the market held up pretty well. I would be surprised though if this market can just continue to move higher without any correction if we begin to see interest rates going up from here
Washington agreed (for lack of a better term) not to throw out the big repeal Im not playing the sector, but i follow cause its interesting..... every time it looks like Obamacare might survive (for lack of a better term), health care and biotech shoot off the charts..... and every time it looks like we may repeal it, the sector crashes Kinda puts things in perspective as to which direction is beneficial to the people and which direction is beneficial to the industry (cause its never good for both) Sorry if that sounds political, but i think its worth attention
Well I guess I'll post this a little early this week since I won't be around from Thursday-Sunday. Who wants to put up next week's thread? I won't get around to it this time.
