Hello fellow holicks! Not sure how many video game enthusiasts there are here but I decided to make a thread nonetheless. PC, console or mobile - everyone is welcome! As for yours truly, I'm currently emerged in post-apocalyptic Tokyo with the game called "Shin Megami Tensei IV" for 3ds, developed by Atlus. The first game of this franchise was released in 1987(!) but was only available in Japan. Recent Atlus titles are available in the US, Europe and other regions with their latest masterpiece being Persona 5 (PS4 exclusive). I would strongly recommend this game to all RPG enthusiasts who have some spare time to invest since the main story is supposed to be around 45 to 50 hours long. Fair warning, the game is on the hardcore side difficulty-wise, but becomes more bearable once you get into its character development system.
Good thread idea in here @blypelako thx for starting it up. Admittedly I'm not much of a gamer myself...IDK why just never could get into video games for whatever reason. Maybe I should take it up one of these days though. That being said I know we have a handful of gamers on this forum. Our glorious leader is one of them I believe! Perhaps he can chime in here.
Been grinding halo since combat evolved and haven't looked back. Watch all the halo tournaments and been following the competitive scene closely since H2. On the PC side, I have been hooked on H1Z1 the last 6 months or so.
PCMasterRace, I've been playing Witcher 3. I played Fallout 4 as well, a bit disappointed the game was locked at 60 fps.
I was pretty disappointed by FO4, but its impossible to up New Vegas. I've been selling my soul to PUBG lately, and Rocket League of course. I'm surprisingly terrible at the F1 games.
I was just looking at PUBG, $30 and it seems to be running pretty smooth. Looks like a good time waster!
If you enjoy Game of Thrones you'll love the Witcher. I run a lighting, reshade and hd texture mod on Witcher and it amazes me this is a two year old game. I have over 20 mods in Fallout 4 but it doesn't look nearly as good imo.
I have Witcher 3 plus DLCs installed on my PS4. However, considering my perfectionist nature, it will take me about 100 hours+ to finish which I'm not ready to commit as of now. Speaking of which, there seem to be quite a few RPG enthusiasts here. If you haven't seen yet, IGN is compiling a list of top 100 RPGs in history. They revealed 100 to 21 as of now and all the games on the list so far are absolutely grand. Link: http://www.ign.com/lists/top-100-rpgs/100
Has anyone ever played WoW? I recently decided to have a nostalgic run and finally get to Pandaria and Warlords and I'm loving it quite a bit. I decided to go for the opposite of what I normally did so I went with Alliance and a purely DPS class.
Any news on Mass Effect Andromeda? I'd love to give it another shot once they release all the DLCs for it. But it's been a while and they are not saying anything. Will there even be any?
If we're talking Mass Effect: Andromeda and Witcher 3, then I would have to say Witcher. If the series as a whole, I'm not sure - both are amazing.
Ive still not managed to get past 2hrs into Witcher 3. Then I forget how to play and I restart and get distracted again. Eventually Ill get through it!
I was glued to the Witcher 3 from the very first minutes. I think I played for, like, 8 hours straight on a release day.
Aaaaand, Mass Effect is officially done. https://www.masseffect.com/news/mass-effect-andromeda-update-from-the-studio I knew it was coming, since Andromeda turned out awful, but I still had hopes on DLCs. Unfortunately, EA does not forgive and does not give second chances. RIP, one of my favorite franchises.
